TWO TRUE STORIES ABOUT RACISM

1) I'm sure many of you watched the recent taping of the Oprah Winfrey

Show where her guest was Tommy Hilfiger. On the show, she asked him if the statements about race he was accused of saying were true. Statements like'...'If I'd known African-Americans, Hispanics, Jewish and Asians would buy my clothes, I WOULD NOT have made them so nice. I wish these people would *NOT* buy my clothes, as they are made for upper class white people'

His answer to Oprah was a simple 'YES'. Where after she immediately asked him to leave her show.

My suggestion? Don't buy your next shirt or perfume from Tommy Hilfiger. Let's give him what he asked for. Let's not buy his clothes, let's put Him in a financial state where he himself will not be able to afford the ridiculous prices he puts on his clothes. BOYCOTT.

PLEASE SEND THIS MESSAGE TO ANYONE YOU KNOW.

Then send it to the whole community that's not white people and see the result. We have to see the result of unity.

Let's find out if Non-whites really play such a small part in the world. Stop buying any range of their (Tommy H etc) product, perfume, cosmetics, clothes, bags, etc.,

2) Scene took place on a British Airways flight between Johannesburg and London

A White woman, about 50 years old, was seated next to a black man. Obviously disturbed by this, she called the air Hostess..
'Madam, what is the matter,' the hostess asked. ' You obviously do not see it then?' she responded. ' You placed me next to a black man.

I do not agree to sit next to someone from such a repugnant group. Give me an alternative seat.'
'Be calm please,' the hostess replied. 'Almost all the places on this Flight is taken.

I will go to see if another place is available.' The Hostess went away and t hen came back a few minutes later. 'Madam, Just as I thought, there are no other available seats in the economy class. I spoke to the captain and he informed me that there is a seat in the business class.

All the same, we still have one place in the first class.' Before the woman could say anything, the hostess continued: 'It is not Usual for our company to permit someone from the economy class to sit in the first class. However, given the circumstances, the captain feels that it would be scandalous to make someone sit next to someone so disgusting.' She turned to the black guy, and said, 'Therefore, Sir, if you would like to, please collect your hand luggage, a seat awaits you in first class.'

At that moment, the other passengers who were shocked by what they had just witnessed stood up and applauded. Both the above are true stories. If You are against racism, please send this message to all your friends;

I received an email from someone that I don't know whom. And, how this guy got my email address also give me a question. Read what this guy gave me below. I don't know what is that and also is it true or not. But in the email, they put someone's picture, looks like this guy standing at the petrol digging area (I did not put it here). Marwa - mati mu kerana maruah kami !

Jutaan orang dari seluru dunia menyaksikan pengkebumian Micheal Jackson. Ramailah orang yang menumpahkan air mata kerana kehilangan penghibur kesukaan mereka. Ramailah yang menabur bunga untuk raja pop itu yang seluruh tubuhanya disaluti 'barang palsu'.

1 Julai 2009 - German
Kita dikejutkan dengan pembunuhan Marwa El-Sherbini yang berlaku di sebuah 'courtroom' di Langericht, Dresden, German. Marwa ditikam sebanyak 18 kali oleh Alex W. , seorang lelaki yang selalu mengganggunya dengan memanggilnya 'terrorist' dan cuba menanggalkan tudungnya. Malah, suami Marwa turut cedera kerana cuba melindunginya dan masih belum sedarkan diri. Tetapi suaminya bukan sahaja cedera parah kerana ditikam tetapi ditembak oleh polis German yang kemudiannya menyatakan ia tidak disengajakan.

Ogos 2008 - kisahnya
Marwa di serang dengan kata-kata kesat disebuah taman oleh lelaki tersebut yang juga turut cuba membuka tudung kepalanya tetapi dipertahankan Marwa. Alex W. ditahan polis dan didenda 780 euro tetapi pendakwa merayu untuk hukuman lebih berat kerana Alex menyatakan dalam mahkamah bahawa 'orang seperti Marwa bukan manusia'.

Julai 2009 - pembunuhan
Perbicaran rayuan untuk Alex dijalankan dan cuma beberapa orang sahaja dalam bilik mahkamah tanpa kehadiran polis. Ketika perbicaraan dijalankan, Alex menyerang Marwa dan menikamnya sebanyak 18 kali sehingga mati dan suaminya turut ditikam di dada dan badan. Marwa dilaporkan hamil tiga bulan ketika dibunuh. Ketika menyerang, Alex berkata, "kau tidak layak untuk hidup".

Kini - di seluruh dunia
Kematiah Marwa tidak dihebahkan secara besar-besaran akibat 'kegilaan' dunia termasuk umat Islam terhadap MJ. Berita wanita yang mempertahankan maruahnya, agamanya dan umat Islam lain tenggelam dengan berita pengkebumian raja pop itu. Saya sendiri hanya membacanya di laman maya BBC News. Pun begitu, jenazah Marwa disambut oleh beribu-ribu umat Islam di Mesir, tanah kelahirannya. Dia disambut sama seperti pejuang, sama seperti para syahid di Palestin.

Israeli settlers burn Palestinian farm

Israel's illegal settlers in the West Bank have set fire to more than 120 hectares of Palestinian land, the Ministry of Agriculture says.

In a series of attacks since the spring, settlers have gone on the offensive, attacking Palestinian farmers particularly in villages surrounding the cities of Nablus and al-Khalil (Hebron), the Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture said on Sunday.

The ministry issued a statement after settlers in the West Bank town of Beit Ummar set fire to more farmland on Sunday. The town's mayor said that large areas of olive, almond, and grape fields were reduced to ashes.

The statement also expressed concern over the recently-announced Israeli plans to confiscate another 13,900 hectares stretching from the eastern edge of Bethlehem to the Dead Sea -- including land in the villages of Al-Ubeidiya, Ar-Rashayida and At-Ta'amara -- and the area of Nabi Musa, which is to be annexed by the Israeli settlement of Ma'ale Adumim.

In spite of mounting pressure by the international community, the ministry noted that Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak has approved the construction of 50 new housing units in the settlement of Adam, in addition to 300 houses in the settlement of Benyamin.

Little history of reality tv.

Certainly, there are many people who think that reality shows have begun recently, but then there are a lot of us who believe that Allen Funt started these in 1948 with the TV serial called "Candid Camera" and he rightly deserves the credit for this now ubiquitous phenomenon. Reality TV seems to be a recent innovation, but "Candid Camera" was a forerunner that doesn't receive enough credit. Most people would concur that reality TV is synonymous with a peep show.

The 1950s shows can be categorized only as reality TV. How to express the reality? We might call them "game shows". They really are reality television.

Reality shows on television have got much expansion over the years. This class has developed further in the last 50 to 60 years.

Reality television is extremely popular these days. Once the reality show "Survivor" became a huge hit on CBS, other networks wanted to cash in on the trend. If you've been living under a rock: "Survivor" is a reality television program - or game show - documenting contestants living together for 39 days in a primitive environment. While they attempt to undermine one another and vie for the great reward - (one million dollars), the participants eventually found ways to cooperate with each other.

A total of seven different reality television programs exist on the big four. (NBC, CBS, ABC and FOX). The expansion of reality television is not just on those networks. Each and every channel is on the lookout for some great reality television shows, cable centers just grab such programs having top shows like "The Deadliest Catch", "Monster Garage", "Top Chef", etc. These are only a few on the big long list.

Reality TV shows have expanded to include so many categories, from documentaries, to scientific endeavors, dating shows, criminal justice, talent searches, and many more. There are many different examples of reality television, such as dating, law enforcement, hidden camera and game shows to name just a few.

Melanoma - what is that?

Ryan ankle had a small spot that looked different. It was purple and white. That spot was growing because a melanocyte had grown a cancerous tumor. He was informed by his personal physician that he had a melanoma.

Melanocytes are the cells that produce melanin. Melanin gives dark or tan color to the skin. But, when one of these cells gets out of control, it can produce one of the most dangerous cancers known. And more than 50,1013 people are told that they have melanoma every year just inside the USA.

Causes of Malignant Melanoma

The most common cause of melanoma known is over exposure to ultraviolet rays. When melanoma was first studied, it was found that people who labored out of doors were those who tended to show up with melanoma. Furthermore, people who had gotten a sunburn causing blisters were at risk to get a malignant melanoma.

People with fair skin are much more likely to get melanoma. This may be due to the fact that they are more likely to get skin damage by sun exposure. However, this is not a hard and fast fact.

Those who have lots of nevi (moles) are more likely to get melanoma, particularly those who have more than 50. Also, those with a particular type of mole called a dysplastic nevus are at higher risk.

Some people have had other skin cancers successfully treated including squamous cell carcinoma. Those people are more likely to get melanoma.

If you have had other family members that had malignant melanoma, then you are more likely to get a malignant melanoma as well.

Finally, those who have a problem with their immune system get malignant melanomas more often. Whether a person has AIDS, an organ transplant needing medications to curtail the immune system or others using those medications, that person will have a higher risk.

There was one case that showed the role of genetics in malignant melanoma. A man who was a chimera got malignant melanoma. A chimera is someone who has different parts of the body having two different sets of DNA. This apparently happens when twins are formed and somehow join into one body. This man had large metastatic lumps of malignant melanoma tumors on one side of his body and none at all on the other!

How to Identify a Melanoma

The only way to be sure whether a bump on your skin is a malignant melanoma or not is to have your doctor take it off and get it studied by a pathologist. However, there are some ways to know if you should be suspicious of one of those lumps or bumps.

Irregular Border - A malignant melanoma will typically have an uneven border. The usual mole has a sharp border. You can point to any spot on your skin and say for sure whether it is part of the mole or not. This is not the case with malignant melanoma.

Assymetric Shape - The malignant melanoma lesions typically have two halves that are not the same.

Different Color - Melanomas often will have different parts of the tumor that have different colors.

Size - most melanomas are larger than other moles. And they also tend to grow and may bleed or itch.

If you have a supicious lesion that you are not sure about, get it checked by your doctor early. Those who have them removed early have a much better chance of survival. Particularly when the lump is still tiny.

Ebola found in pigs for first time raising fears it could mutate and threaten humans

This is a real shocking. While we are still struggling with Pig Flu (H1N1) and just recover from Bird Flu, this news is a real scary.

A form of Ebola virus has been detected in pigs for the first time, raising concerns it could mutate and threaten humans, scientists report.

Reston ebolavirus (Rebov) has only been seen in monkeys and humans previously and, unlike other types of Ebola, it is not known to cause illness in people.

Researchers say it is theoretically possible for the virus to mutate in pigs into a form that might sicken people.

The Philippines had tested 141 people, the researchers said, and six of them who either worked on pig farms or with swine products were found with antibodies to the Ebola-Reston virus, which means they might have been infected by pigs at some time.

However, they showed no signs of illness. Rebov belongs to the family of filoviruses which target primates. These viruses cause viral haemorrhagic fevers, which result in bleeding and coagulation, and can lead to death.

In their study, the scientists examined blood and tissue samples taken from pigs suffering unusually severe respiratory infections in different parts of the Philippines and found they contained widely varying strains of the virus.

This suggests that the virus may have circulated widely in pigs even before it was first discovered in monkeys exported to the United States from the Philippines in 1989, the scientists said.

The discovery of Rebov in pigs in the Philippines is reported in Friday's edition of the journal Science.

5 DON'TS when you are sleeping

People who sleep with make up might have skin problems in the long run. Sleeping with make up will cause the skin to have difficulty in breathing and problem in perspiring. You will also need a much longer time to go into deep sleep.

The Mind Set of Americans

Old Mustapha has lived for more than 40 years in New York. He would like to plant potatoes in his garden, but he is alone and old and has a son who lives in Iraq.

He sent an e-mail to his son:

I'm sad, I cannot plant potatoes in my garden. I know you would help me with hoeing the garden, if you were here.

Please don't touch the garden! I have hid "the stuff" there.

Within 2 hours the US Army, Marines, FBI and CIA arrived at Mustapha's door. They carefully hoed the soil, but found nothing. They left very disappointed.

The same evening the old Mustapha got another email from his son.

Dear Dad,

Most probably the garden is now hoed and ready for planting.
Sorry, I couldn't do more for you from this distance.

A man eats two eggs each morning for breakfast. When he goes to the grocery store he pays 60 cents a dozen. Since a dozen eggs won't last a week he normally buys two dozen at a time. One way while buying eggs he notices that the price has risen to 72 cents. The next time he buys groceries, eggs are 76 cents a dozen.

When asked to explain the price of eggs the store owner says, 'The price has gone up and I have to raise my price accordingly' . These store buys 100 dozen eggs a day. He checked around for a better price and all the distributors have raised their prices. The distributors have begun to buy from the huge egg farms. The small egg farms have been driven out of business. The huge egg farms sell 100,000 dozen eggs a day to distributors. With no competition, they can set the price as they see fit. The distributors then have to raise their prices to the grocery stores and on and on and on.

As the man kept buying eggs, the price kept going up and up. He saw the big egg trucks elivering 100 dozen eggs each day. Nothing changed there. He checked out the huge egg farms and found they were selling 100,000 dozen eggs to the distributors daily. Nothing had changed but the price of eggs.

Then week before Thanksgiving, the price of eggs shot up to $1.00 a dozen. Again he asked the grocery owner why and was told, 'Cakes and baking for the holiday'. The huge egg farmers know there will be a lot of baking going on and more eggs will be used. Hence, the price of eggs goes up. Expect the same thing at Christmas and other times when family cooking, baking, etc. happen.

This pattern continues until the price of eggs is 2.00 a dozen. The man says, 'There must be something we can do about the price of eggs'.

He starts talking to all the people in his town and they decide to stop buying eggs. This didn't work because everyone needed eggs.

Finally, the man suggested only buying what you need. He ate 2 eggs a day. On the way home from work he would stop at the grocery and buy two eggs. Everyone in town started buying 2 or 3 eggs a day.

The grocery store owner began complaining that he had too many eggs in his cooler. He told the distributor that he didn't need any eggs. Maybe wouldn't need any all week.

The distributor had eggs piling up at his warehouse. He told the huge egg farms that he didn't have any room for eggs would not need any for at least two weeks.

At the egg farm, the chickens just kept on laying eggs. To relieve the pressure, the huge egg farm told the distributor that they could buy the eggs at a lower price.

Now, transpose this analogy to the petrol industry

What if everyone bought only RM30 worth of petrol (approx 11 litres) each time they pulled to the pump?

The dealer's tanks would stay semi full all the time. The dealers wouldn't have room for the petrol coming from the huge tank farms.

The tank farms wouldn't have room for the petrol coming from the refining plants. And the refining plants wouldn't have room for the oil being off loaded from the huge tankers coming from the oil fields.

Just RM30 each time you buy petrol. Don't fill it up. You may have to stop for petrol twice a week or even 3 times, but the price has to come down eventually if all of us do this all the time.

Think about it ... let the deciding factor be within our control ...

As an added note ... don't buy anything else at the petrol stations, don't give them any more of your hard earned money than what you spend on petrol until the prices come down ...

History of Ballpoint Pens

A Hungarian journalist named Laszlo Biro invented the first ballpoint pen in 1938. Biro had noticed that the type of ink used in newspaper printing dried quickly, leaving the paper dry and smudge-free. He decided to create a pen using the same type of ink. The thicker ink would not flow from a regular pen nib and Biro had to devise a new type of point. He did so by fitting his pen with a tiny ball bearing in its tip. As the pen moved along the paper, the ball rotated picking up ink from the ink cartridge and leaving it on the paper. This principle of the ballpoint pen actually dates back to an 1888 patent owned by John J. Loud for a product to mark leather. However, this patent was commercially unexploited. Laszlo Biro first patented his pen in 1938, and applied for a fresh patent in Argentina on June 10, 1943. (Laszlo Biro and his brother Georg Biro emigrated to Argentina in 1940.) The British Government bought the licensing rights to this patent for the war effort. The British Royal Air Force needed a new type of pen, one that would not leak at higher altitudes in fighter planes as the fountain pen did. Their successful performance for the Air Force brought the Biro pens into the limelight. Laszlo Biro had neglected to get a U.S. patent for his pen and so even with the ending of World War II, another battle was just beginning...

Historical Outline - The Battle of Ballpoint Pens
The first pen-writing instrument was the quill pen dipped into dark paint. There became a need to lengthen the time between dips, eliminate splatter, eliminate smearing and improve pen handling.

* Early 1800s: The first designs for pens that could hold their own ink patented.

* 1884: L.E. Waterman, a New York City insurance salesman, designed the first workable fountain pen, the fountain pen becomes the predominant writing instrument for the next sixty years. Four fountain pen manufactures dominate the market: Parker, Sheaffer, Waterman and Wahl-Eversharp.

* 1938: Invention of a ballpoint pen by two Hungarian inventors, Laszlo Biro and George Biro. The brothers both worked on the pen and applied for patents in 1938 and 1940. The new-formed Eterpen Company in Argentina commercialized the Biro pen. The press hailed the success of this writing tool because it could write for a year without refilling.

* May 1945: Eversharp Co. teams up with Eberhard-Faber to acquire the exclusive rights to Biro Pens of Argentina. The pen re-branded the “Eversharp CA” which stood for Capillary Action. Released to the press months in advance of public sales.

* June, 1945: Less than a month after Eversharp/Eberhard close the deal with Eterpen, Chicago businessman, Milton Reynolds visits Buenos Aires. While in a store, he sees the Biro pen and recognizes the pen’s sales potential. He buys a few pens as samples. Reynolds returns to America and starts the Reynolds International Pen Company, ignoring Eversharp’s patent rights.

* October 29, 1945: Reynolds copies the product in four months and sells his product Reynold's Rocket at Gimbel’s department store in New York City. Reynolds’ imitation beats Eversharp to market. Reynolds’ pen is immediately successful: Priced at $12.50, $100,000 worth sold the first day on the market.

* December, 1945: Britain was not far behind with the first ballpoint pens available to the public sold at Christmas by the Miles-Martin Pen Company.

The Ballpoint Pen Becomes a Fad

Ballpoint pens guaranteed to write for two years without refilling, claimed to be smear proof. Reynolds advertised it as the pen "to write under water." Eversharp sued Reynolds for copying the design it had acquired legally. The previous 1888 patent by John Loud would have invalidated everyone's claims. However, no one knew that at the time. Sales skyrocketed for both competitors. Nevertheless, the Reynolds’ pen leaked, skipped and often failed to write. Eversharp’s pen did not live up to its own advertisements. A very high volume of pen returns occurred for both Eversharp and Reynolds. The ballpoint pen fad ended - due to consumer unhappiness.

* 1948: Frequent price wars, poor quality products, and heavy advertising costs hurt each side. Sales did a nosedive. The original asking price of $12.50 dropped to less than 50 cents per pen.

* 1950: The French Baron called Bich, drops the h and starts BIC and starts selling pens.

* 1951: The ballpoint pen dies a consumer death. Fountain pens are number one again. Reynolds folds.

* January, 1954: Parker Pens introduces its first ballpoint pen, the Jotter. The Jotter wrote five times longer than the Eversharp or Reynolds pens. It had a variety of point sizes, a rotating cartridge and large-capacity ink refills. Best of all, it worked. Parker sold 3.5 million Jotters @ $2.95 to $8.75 in less then one year.

The Ballpoint Pen Battle is Won
* 1957: Parker introduces the tungsten carbide textured ball bearing in their ballpoint pens. Eversharp was in deep financial trouble and tried to switch back to selling fountain pens. Eversharp sold its pen division to Parker Pens and Eversharp's assets finally liquidated in the 1960’s.

* Late 1950's: BIC ® held 70 percent of European market.

* 1958: BIC buys 60 percent of the New York based Waterman Pens.

* 1960: BIC owns 100 percent of Waterman Pens. BIC sells ballpoint pens in U.S. for 29 - 69 cents.

The Ballpoint Pen War is Won

The History Waterman Pen and Fountain Pen

Lewis Waterman patented the first practical fountain pen in 1884. Writing instruments designed to carry their own supply of ink had existed in principle for over one hundred years before Waterman's patent. For example, the oldest known fountain pen that has survived today was designed by a Frenchmen named M. Bion and dated 1702. Peregrin Williamson, a Baltimore shoemaker, received the first American patent for a pen in 1809. John Scheffer received a British patent in 1819 for his half quill, half metal pen that he attempted to mass manufacture. John Jacob Parker patented the first self-filling fountain pen in 1831. However, early fountain pen models were plagued by ink spills and other failures that left them impractical and hard to sell.

The fountain pen's design came after a thousand years of using quill-pens. Early inventors observed the apparent natural ink reserve found in the hollow channel of a bird's feather and tried to produce a similar effect, with a man-made pen that would hold more ink and not require constant dipping into the ink well. However, a feather is not a pen, only a natural object modified to suit man's needs. Filling a long thin reservoir made of hard rubber with ink and sticking a metal 'nib' at the bottom was not enough to produce a smooth writing instrument. Lewis Waterman, an insurance salesman, was inspired to improve the early fountain pen designs after destroying a valuable sales contract with leaky-pen ink. Lewis Waterman's idea was to add an air hole in the nib and three grooves inside the feed mechanism.

A mechanism is composed of three main parts. The nib, which has the contact with the paper. The feed or black part under the nib controls the ink flow from the reservoir to the nib. The round barrel that holds the nib and feed on the writing end protects the ink reservoir internally (this is the part that you grip while writing).

All pens contain an internal reservoir for ink. The different ways that reservoirs filled proved to be one of the most competitive areas in the pen industry. The earliest 19th century pens used an eyedropper; by 1915, most pens had switched to having a self-filling soft and flexible rubber sac as an ink reservoir. To refill these pens, the reservoirs were squeezed flat by an internal plate, then the pen's nib was inserted into a bottle of ink and the pressure on the internal plate was released so that the ink sac would fill up drawing in a fresh supply of ink.

Several different patents issued for the self-filling fountain pen design:

* The Button Filler: Patented in 1905 and first offered by the Parker Pen Co. in 1913 as an alternative to the eyedropper method. An external button connected to the internal pressure plate that flattened the ink sac when pressed.

* Lever Filler: Walter Sheaffer patented the lever filler in 1908. The W.A. Sheaffer Pen Company of Fort Madison, Iowa introduced it in 1912. An external lever depressed the flexible ink sac. The lever fitted flush with the barrel of the pen when it was not in use. The lever filler became the winning design for the next forty years, the button filler coming in second.

* Click Filler: First called the crescent filler, Roy Conklin of Toledo commercially produced the first one. A later design by Parker Pen Co. used the name click filler. When two protruding tabs on the outside of the pen pressed, the ink sac deflated. The tabs would make a clicking sound when the sac was full.

* Matchstick Filler: Introduced around 1910 by the Weidlich Company. A small rod mounted on the pen or a common matchstick depressed the internal pressure plate through a hole in the side of the barrel.

* Coin Filler: Developed by Lewis Waterman in an attempt to compete with the winning lever filler patent belonging to Sheaffer. A slot in the barrel of the pen enabled a coin to deflate the internal pressure plate, a similar idea to the matchstick filler.

There are nine standard nib-sizes, with three different nib-tip cuts: straight, oblique and italic. The early inks caused steel nibs to quickly corrode and gold nibs held up to the corrosion. Iridium used on the very tip of the nib replaced gold because gold was too soft. Most owners had their initials engraved on the clip. It took about four months to break in a new writing instrument since the nib was designed to flex as pressure was put on it (allowing the writer to vary the width of the writing lines) each nib wore down accommodating to each owner's own writing style. People did not tend to loan their fountain pens to anyone for that reason.

The ink cartridge introduced around 1950 was a disposable, pre-filled plastic or glass cartridges designed for clean and easy insertion. They were an immediate success. The introduction of the ballpoints, however, overshadowed the invention of the cartridge and dried up business for the fountain pen industry. Fountain pens sell today as a classic writing instrument and the original pens have become very hot collectibles.

Invented the capillary feed in fountain pens - now universally used - that allows for even ink flow. Though necessity may be the mother of invention, perhaps it is frustration that fuels the fire; or so it seemed for Lewis Waterman. In 1883, Lewis Waterman was an insurance broker in New York City, getting ready to sign one of his hottest contracts. In honor of the occasion, Lewis Waterman bought a new fountain pen that he considered far more stylish than a cumbersome dip pen and ink well. With the contract on the table and the pen in the client’s hand, the pen refused to write, and actually leaked onto the precious document. Horrified, Lewis Waterman raced back to his office for another contract, but a competing broker had closed the deal.

Determined to never again suffer such humiliation, Waterman began to make fountain pens in his brother’s workshop. Lewis Waterman used the capillarity principle which allowed air to induce a steady and even flow of ink. He christened his pen "the Regular," decorated it with wood accents, and obtained a patent for it in 1884. In his first year of operation, Waterman sold his hand-made pens out of the back of a cigar shop. He guaranteed the pens for five years and advertised in a trendy magazine, The Review of Review. By 1899, Lewis Waterman opened a factory in Montreal and was offering a variety of designs. In 1901, upon Waterman’s death, his nephew, Frank D. Waterman took the business overseas and increased sales to 350,000 pens per year. The Treaty of Versailles was signed using a solid gold Waterman pen, a far cry from the day Lewis Waterman lost his important contract due to a leaky fountain pen.

Lewis Edson Waterman is commonly cited as being the inventor of the first practical fountain pen, just as Henry Ford is often supposed to be the inventor of the automobile. Neither supposition is completely accurate; however, it is certainly true that Waterman was the first big international success among fountain pen makers.

The story of how Waterman invented the multi-channel feed back in the 1870s is a typical stirring tale of Yankee Ingenuity. As the tale is told, Waterman (an insurance salesman at the time) loaned a new reservoir pen he had bought to a client to sign a policy; unfortunately, the pen (as was typical of these early examples) refused to do anything but blot the contract. The client, taking all this as an ill omen, nixed the deal.

Retiring to his brother's upstate New York farm for some serious whittling, Waterman soon came up with his feed, which he fitted to a pen made by his brother from a wagon wheel spoke. The pen worked well enough to encourage him to begin manufacturing and selling them on a small scale beginning in the early 1880s. He was granted patents on his innovations (which also included a process for machining decorative chasing onto hard rubber pen barrels) in 1883, and incorporated in 1888.

Thanks to heavy investment in magazine advertisements, Waterman was soon nationally and internationally recognized as a leader in the young industry.

Waterman's globe trademark was no idle boast; the company enjoyed a very large export trade, and by the 1920s had subsidiaries in Canada, France, and the U.K. The company's products earned a gold medal at the Paris Exposition in 1900 (which also saw the appearance of the first electric escalator) , a year before L. E. Waterman's death.

Waterman pens set the pace for penmakers up through World War I, and were extensively copied, both directly and indirectly, despite any number of patents on the Waterman innovations. The high point of Waterman's popularity was probably the decade of the 1920s, during which they offered a huge variety of models and sizes.

In the 1930s, having been slow to respond to technical and stylistic innovations by the competition, Waterman began to lose ground. During this time, they sold the Patrician, one of the rarest and most avidly-sought of vintage U.S. pens (examples in good condition can fetch $1,500 or more). The Hundred-Year models from the 1930s and 40s are also very expensive and difficult to find. During the later '40s and the '50s, the company really ran out of gas, and the remains of the U.S. Waterman operations were finally sold to Bic in 1959, forming the basis of that French firm's American production facilities.

The fact that the Waterman name persists to this day can also be attributed to the French. In 1926, a Waterman rep by the name of Jules Fagard established a French subsidiary called JiF-Waterman; ten years later, they would invent the first practical disposable ink cartridge (originally a glass capsule). JiF-Waterman entered the post-World-War-II era in pretty good shape, thanks to astute management by Fagard and his widow Elsa; when the parent company finally gave up the ghost, the French subsidiary carried on the name with further distinguished products. Waterman is still based in France, but has been back under American ownership (by the toiletries giant Gilette) for a few years now.

There is no cure for psoriasis. However, treatment is usually effective and will control the condition by clearing or reducing the patches of psoriasis. Most people with psoriasis can be treated by their GP. Your GP may refer you to a dermatologist (skin specialist) and their team based in a hospital if symptoms are particularly severe or have not responded well to previous treatments.

Treatments are based on the type and severity of your psoriasis and the area of the skin affected. Your GP will probably start with a mild treatment - such as topical creams - and then move on to stronger treatments if necessary.

There is a wide range of treatment options for psoriasis but identifying what treatment is most effective can be difficult. You should talk to your GP if you feel a treatment is not working, or you are experiencing uncomfortable side effects.

Treatments fall into three categories:

* topical - creams and ointments are applied to your skin,
* phototherapy - your skin is exposed to certain types of light, and
* oral and injected medication - medicine is used to reduce the production of your skin cells.

Different types of treatment are often used in combination.
Topical treatments

Topical treatments are creams and ointments you apply to the affected areas of your skin. They are used to treat mild to moderate psoriasis. Topical psoriasis treatments include:

* Topical corticosteroids - these are the most commonly used medicines for treating mild to moderate psoriasis. The treatment works by slowing the production of skin cells; this reduces the inflammation and relieves the symptoms of itching. Topical corticosteroids range in strength from mild to very strong. Stronger topical corticosteroids are normally only used on small areas of your skin or on particularly thick patches. You should only use topical corticosteroids when instructed by your GP. Over-use can lead to you developing a tolerance to the cream and it could damage your skin.

* Vitamin D analogues - the Vitamin D in the cream has a suppressing effect on your immune system, slowing the production of skin cells. The most widely used Vitamin D analogue is calcipotriol, which is used to treat mild to moderate psoriasis. Calcipotriol has no side effects, provided you do not use more than the amount recommended by your GP.

* Dithranol - this has been used for over 50 years in the treatment of plaque psoriasis. It is effective in suppressing the production of skin cells and has no side effects. However, it is typically only used as a short-term treatment under hospital supervision, as it stains everything it comes into contact with including your skin. It is normally only applied to your skin for five minutes before being washed off to reduce the risk of staining your skin. Dithranol is often used in combination with phototherapy.

* Tazarotene - this cream contains a chemical similar to Vitamin A - a retnoid - this slows the production of skin cells. It is used in the treatment of moderate plaque psoriasis. The most common side effect is skin irritation. Tazarotene can cause birth defects so it should be strictly avoided during pregnancy or if breastfeeding. It is not recommended for children or teenagers.

* Coal tar - this is a thick heavy oil and is probably the oldest treatment for psoriasis. How it works is not exactly known, but it reduces scales, inflammation and itchiness. Coal tar does cause staining of clothes and bedding but it has a very strong smell. It is often used in combination with phototherapy.

Phototherapy

Phototherapy uses natural and artificial light to treat psoriasis.

* Sunlight - brief, daily exposure to small amounts of sunlight can improve symptoms, but too much sun can cause a worsening of your condition and cause skin damage. Consult with your GP about the safest way to make use of the sun.

* UVB phototherapy - this uses a wavelength of light that is invisible to human eyes - ultraviolet B light. The light slows down the production of skin cells and is an effective treatment against guttate or plaque psoriasis that has not responded to a topical procedure. Treatment takes place at a hospital under the supervision of a dermatologist. You will normally need between 10 and 30 sessions.

* Psoralean plus ultraviolet A (PUVA) - for this treatment, you will first be given a tablet called psoralean. This makes your skin more sensitive to light. Your skin is then exposed to a wavelength of light called ultraviolet A. This light penetrates your skin more deeply than ultraviolet B light. This treatment may be used if you have severe psoriasis that have not responded to other treatment. Common side effects of the treatment include nausea, headaches, burning and itchiness. Long-term use of this treatment is not encouraged as it can increase your risk of developing skin cancer.

* Combination light therapy - combining phototherapy with other treatments often increases the effectiveness of phototherapy. Some doctors use UVB phototherapy in combination with coal tar, as the coal tar makes the skin more receptive to light. Combining UVB phototherapy with Dithranol cream has also proved effective.

Oral and injected medication

You will normally only be prescribed tablets or injections if your psoriasis is severe and is resistant to other treatments. Oral medications can be very effective in treating psoriasis but they all have potentially seriously side effects - so they are only used for short periods of time.

* Methotrexate - methotrexate is a medicine that decreases the production of skin cells and suppresses inflammation. It is useful in treating pustular psoriasis, psoriatic erythoderma and extensive plaque psoriasis. It has no short-term side effects, but long-term use can cause serious liver damage. People who have previous liver disease should not take methotrexate. You should not drink any alcohol when taking methotrexate. Methotrexate can cause serious birth defects. Women should take adequate contraceptive precautions to avoid falling pregnant during therapy and for three months afterwards. Methotrexate can affect how sperm cells develop, so men should avoid fathering a child during therapy and for three weeks afterwards.

* Aciterin - aciterin is an oral retnoid that reduces the production of skin cells. It is used to treat severe psoriasis that has not responded to other treatments. It has a wide range of side effects including dryness and cracking of the lips, dryness of the nasal passages, loss of hair, and in rarer cases, hepatitis. Acitretin causes serious birth defects, and women should avoid pregnancy during treatment, and for two years after.

* Ciclosporin - ciclosporin is an immunosuppressant - a medicine that suppresses your immune system. It has proved effective in the treatment of all types of psoriasis, but as it stops your immune system from working normally, it can make you more at risk from infection. Ciclosporin also increases your chances of kidney disease and high blood pressure.

All of the oral and injected medicines for psoriasis come with both benefits and risks. Before starting a treatment of oral medication, your GP or dermatologist should clearly explain the benefits and risks of the treatment, both verbally and in writing.

Scalp psoriasis is a subtype of psoriasis manifesting on the hair covered area of the head. It may be severe or mild. It can affect the entire scalp or just certain areas. The symptoms are visible, thick, silvery layers of dead skin cells, soreness of the scalp, bleeding and a lot of itching, and a feeling of tightness of the scalp if large areas are covered. It occurs in patients that have an attack on the immune system, stress, or hormonal changes. Stress is a contributing factor of this disease, like all types of psoriasis. There are about three percent of Americans diagnosed with psoriasis. Scalp psoriasis is not contagious,-it is considered to be a hereditary disease. The affected areas are called plaques and may be localized to a specific part of the scalp or be spread all over.

Scratching the area can make the disease worse. It causes flaking of the skin much like dandruff and can be very embarrassing to the patient. Proper treatment of the scalp can help to manage it. The doctor prescribes steroid liniments, among other medicines. The pain caused by the disease can become very uncomfortable and the itching unbearable.

This disease can cause other problems with relationships, self-esteem and self-confidence. Constant itching and scratching is not very attractive to some of the people around you, and flaking and layers of “white snow” on the jacket is hard to handle for the victim. It can damage the self-perception because one gets very self-conscious of whether someone is watching your scratching or not, or even worse, the dandruff. Use natural sulphate free shampoos with wheat germ or jojoba oils. This will help to moisturize and keep the scalp healthy.

Mix water with tamanu oil, pour into a spray bottle and put on scalp. Or you can just massage the tamanu oil into the scalp drop by drop. You may also add the oil to your shampoo or conditioner.

Spending thirty minutes under a UVB light is a way to speed up the healing process, if the rays find access to the scalp skin .

There are many more remedies for scalp psoriasis. You have to find the one that works best for you. Hair hygiene is the ultimate plan of action to keep scalp healthy. If the condition persists, you should seek the help of a doctor.

Regular treatment with natural remedies should heal the condition. A combination of the herbal remedy, the essential oil and tamanu oil will do the trick.

Do babies get psoriasis?

It is exceedingly rare for babies to have psoriasis particularly if there is no history in the family. Rashes in the nappy area may be psoriasis or may be a straightforward nappy rash. Psoriasis in the nappy area will look red and shiny with little scaling, and it will be very clearly demarcated i.e. it will be clear where the psoriasis stops and regular skin begins.

How does psoriasis affect children?

The most common form of psoriasis in children is plaque psoriasis affecting the elbows, knees and lower back. The scalp can also be involved in children, along with the face and flexures (for example, the groin, armpit and behind the knees).
Guttate psoriasis is also more common in childhood and teenage years. This form of psoriasis often follows a throat infection and appears as a generalised rash of small, scaly patches up to 1cm in diameter. The patches often affect the trunk, limbs and occasionally scalp. Guttate psoriasis generally clears well, but this may take several weeks or months.

Why has my child got psoriasis?

Psoriasis is not yet a fully understood condition, however, around 30% of people with psoriasis have a family history of the condition, and certain genes have been identified as being linked to psoriasis. A trigger is still required for psoriasis to develop, regardless of a family link. Triggers include injury to the skin (a simple scratch or insect bite), the streptococcal sore throat, stress and emotional upset and puberty.

What treatments are available for children?

Moisturisers and emollients are vital in the treatment of psoriasis – they will help soothe, smooth and hydrate your child’s skin in order to keep it in good condition and help the active treatment creams and ointments work more effectively. There are lots of emollients and moisturisers to choose, from oils to put in the bath, to creams, lotions and ointments to put directly onto the skin. For some children, moisturisers and emollients are all they will require to manage their psoriasis. Other more active creams and ointments include coal tar based applications, vitamin D analogues, topical steroid treatments and dithranol.
If your child’s psoriasis becomes more severe, they may be referred to a dermatologist. Dermatologists are able to offer other stronger forms of treatment such as ultraviolet light (UV) therapy and tablets

Immunisations

All the usual immunisation procedures may be safely given but it is worth remembering that a patch of psoriasis may come up at any site where the skin has been injured e.g. following immunisation with BCG.

Helpful Hints

· Children should lead as normal a life as possible – psoriasis is only a part of who they are.

· Parents and children may have different views about treatments – it is important to talk this through and respect their views.

· Cotton clothing, underwear and bedding may be more comfortable for your child during a psoriasis flare.

· Inform your child’s teacher in case they need time off school to attend doctors appointments, or help in explaining the condition to their classmates – that it is not contagious.

· Establish a treatment routine, but don’t let it rule your or your child’s life.

· Have a small pot of moisturiser that will fit in a handbag or school bag to use when away from home – this can help soothe itchy skin that may be bothersome in the daytime.

Shampoo is a hair care product used for the removal of oils, dirt, skin particles, dandruff, environmental pollutants and other contaminant particles that gradually build up in hair. The goal is to remove the unwanted build-up without stripping out so much as to make hair unmanageable.

Shampoo, when lathered with water, is a surfactant, which, while cleaning the hair and scalp, can remove the natural oils (sebum) which lubricate the hair shaft.

Shampooing is frequently followed by conditioners which increase the ease of combing and styling.

History

People used to use regular soap to wash their hair.[1] However, the dull film soap left on the hair made it uncomfortable, irritating, and unhealthy looking. According to Shobhana, the word shampoo in English usage dates back to 1762, with the meaning "to massage". The word was a loan from Anglo-Indian shampoo, in turn from Hindi chāmpo , imperative of chāmpnā , "to smear, knead the muscles, massage". It itself comes from Sanskrit/Hindi word "champā" , the flowers of the plant Michelia champaca which have traditionally been used to make fragrant hair-oil.

The term and service was introduced by a Bengali entrepreneur Sake Dean Mahomed, who opened a shampooing bath known as 'Mahomed's Indian Vapour Baths' in Brighton, England in 1759. His baths were like Turkish baths where clients received an Indian treatment of champi (shampooing) or therapeutic massage. His service was appreciated; he received the high accolade of being appointed ‘Shampooing Surgeon’ to both George IV and William IV.

During the early stages of shampoo, English hair stylists boiled shaved soap in water and added herbs to give the hair shine and fragrance. Kasey Hebert was the first known maker of shampoo, and the origin is currently attributed to him.

Originally, soap and shampoo were very similar products; both containing surfactants, a type of detergent. Modern shampoo as it is known today was first introduced in the 1930s with Drene, the first synthetic (non-soap) shampoo.[2]

From ancient times to this day, Indians have been using different formulations of shampoos using herbs like neem, shikakai or soapnut, henna, bael, brahmi, fenugreek, buttermilk, amla, aloe, and almond in combination with some aromatic components like sandalwood, jasmine, turmeric, rose, and musk.

How shampoo works ?

Shampoo cleans by stripping sebum from the hair. Sebum is an oil secreted by hair follicles that is readily absorbed by the strands of hair, and forms a protective layer. Sebum protects the protein structure of hair from damage, but this protection comes at a cost. It tends to collect dirt, styling products and scalp flakes. Surfactants strip the sebum from the hair shafts and thereby remove the dirt attached to it.

While both soaps and shampoos contain surfactants, soap bonds to oils with such affinity that it removes too much if used on hair. Shampoo uses a different class of surfactants balanced to avoid removing too much oil from the hair.

The chemical mechanisms that underlie hair cleansing are similar to that of traditional soap. Undamaged hair has a hydrophobic surface to which skin lipids such as sebum stick, but water is initially repelled. The lipids do not come off easily when the hair is rinsed with plain water. The anionic surfactants substantially reduce the interfacial surface tension and allow for the removal of the sebum from the hair shaft. The non-polar oily materials on the hair shaft are solubilised into the surfactant micelle structures of the shampoo and are removed during rinsing. There is also considerable removal through a surfactant and oil "roll up" effect.

Specialized shampoos

Dandruff

Cosmetic companies have developed shampoos specifically for those who have dandruff. These contain fungicides such as ketoconazole, zinc pyrithione and selenium sulfide which reduce loose dander by killing Malassezia furfur. Coal tar and salicylate derivatives are often used as well.

All-natural

Some companies use "all-natural," "organic," "botanical," or "plant-derived" ingredients (such as plant extracts or oils), combining these additions with one or more typical surfactants. The effectiveness of these organic ingredients is disputed.

Alternative shampoos, sometimes marketed as SLS-free, claim to have fewer harsh chemicals - typically none from the sulfate family. They are sometimes claimed to be gentler on human hair.

Baby

Shampoo for infants and young children is formulated so that it is less irritating and usually less prone to produce a stinging or burning sensation if it were to get into the eyes. This is accomplished by one or more of the following formulation strategies:

1. dilution, in case product comes in contact with eyes after running off the top of the head with minimal further dilution;
2. adjusting pH to that of non-stress tears, approximately 7, which may be a higher pH than that of shampoos which are pH adjusted for skin or hair effects, and lower than that of shampoo made of soap;
3. use of surfactants which, alone or in combination, are less irritating than those used in other shampoos;
4. use of nonionic surfactants of the form of polyethoxylated synthetic glycolipids and/or polyethoxylated synthetic monoglycerides, which surfactants counteract the eye sting of other surfactants without producing the anesthetizing effect of alkyl polyethoxylates or alkylphenol polyethoxylates.

The distinction in 4 above does not completely surmount controversy over the use of shampoo ingredients to mitigate eye sting produced by other ingredients, or of use of the products so formulated.

The considerations in 3 and 4 frequently result in a much greater multiplicity of surfactants being used in individual baby shampoos than in other shampoos, and the detergency and/or foaming of such products may be compromised thereby. The monoanionic sulfonated surfactants and viscosity-increasing or foam stabilizing alkanolamides seen so frequently in other shampoos are much less common in the better baby shampoos.

Animal

Shampoo for animals (such as for dogs or cats) should be formulated especially for them, as their skin has fewer cell layers than human skin. Cats' skin is 2-3 cell layers thick, while dogs' skin is 3-5 layers. Human skin, by contrast, is 10-15 cell layers thick. This is a clear example of why one should never use even something as mild as baby shampoo on a cat, dog, or other pet.

Shampoo intended for animals may contain insecticides or other medications for treatment of skin conditions or parasite infestations such as fleas or mange. These must never be used on humans. It is equally important to note that while some human shampoos may be harmful when used on animals, any haircare products that contain active ingredients/drugs (such as zinc in antidandruff shampoos) are potentially toxic when ingested by animals. Special care must be taken not to use those products on pets. Cats are at particular risk due to their instinctive method of grooming their fur with their tongues.

Solid

Solid shampoos or shampoo bars use as their surfactants soaps and/or other surfactants conveniently formulated as solids. They have the advantage of being spill-proof, and the disadvantage of being slowly applied, needing to be dissolved in use.

Jelly/Gel

Stiff, non-pourable clear gels to be squeezed from a tube were once popular forms of shampoo, and can be produced by increasing a shampoo's viscosity. This type of shampoo cannnot be spilled, but unlike a solid, it can still be lost down the drain by sliding off wet skin or hair. Soap jelly was formely made at home by dissolving sodium soap in hot water before being used for shampooing or other purposes, to avoid the problem of slow application of solids noted above.

Paste/cream

Shampoos in the form of pastes or creams were formerly marketed in jars or tubes. The contents were wet but not completely dissolved. They would apply faster than solids and dissolve quickly. Jar contents were prone to contamination by users and hence had to be very well preserved.

Dry shampoo

Powdered shampoos are designed to work without water. They are typically based on powders such as starch or talc, and are intended to absorb excess sebum from the hair before being brushed out.

In this disease, malignant cells develop in the mesothelium, a protective lining that covers most of the body's internal organs. Its most common site is the pleura (outer lining of the lungs and chest cavity), but it may also occur in the peritoneum (the lining of the abdominal cavity) or the pericardium (a sac that surrounds the heart).

Most people who develop mesothelioma have worked on jobs where they inhaled asbestos particles, or they have been exposed to asbestos dust and fibre in other ways, such as by washing the clothes of a family member who worked with asbestos. Unlike lung cancer, there is no association between mesothelioma and smoking. Compensation via asbestos funds or lawsuits is an important issue in mesothelioma.

The symptoms of mesothelioma include shortness of breath due to pleural effusion (fluid between the lung and the chest wall) or chest wall pain, and general symptoms such as weight loss. The diagnosis can be made with chest X-rays and a CT scan, and confirmed with a biopsy (tissue sample) and microscopic examination. Peritoneal Mesothelioma is a type of cancer that affects the peritoneum of the human abdominal cavity. Hence, this medical condition is also called as abdominal mesothelioma.

But before seeing more about peritoneal mesothelioma, let us first take a look at the classifications and functions of the peritoneum membrane.

Peritoneum is classified into visceral and parietal peritoneum. The visceral peritoneum envelops the abdominal organs and forms the periphery of the intestinal tract. On the other hand, parietal peritoneum covers the abdominal cavity. The purpose
of these layers is to protect the internal organs and to secrete a lubricating fluid that eases the movement of internal organs in the abdominal cavity.

Causes of Peritoneal Mesothelioma

Even though not a definitive explanation, it is widely considered that asbestos is the main cause for peritoneal mesothelioma. According to medical experts, in two ways asbestos dust could reach the intestine lining one through involuntary ingestion during working long hours and days amid asbestos, and secondly, through the lungs while breathing and hence along the lymph nodes to the peritoneal cavity. Either way, it is injurious to the human body, and may invariably lead to this cancerous condition if exposed to for a longer period of time.

Symptoms of Peritoneal Mesothelioma

Peritoneal mesothelioma, like the other forms of mesothelioma, shows a very long latency period and it wont be until 20-30 years since the asbestos-exposure days before any typical symptoms becomes apparent. But by then it will be too late to check the disease or provide any constructive medication or treatment. Further, a delay in diagnosing the disease can happen due to the fact that most of the symptoms of mesothelioma is not-specific and may resemble that of some other common and less serious diseases. For example, the common mesothelioma symptoms include anemia, fever, weight loss, abdominal pain, and bowel obstruction, and it is highly likely that the doctor initially may consider other options than contemplating cancer.
Therefore, the patient telling the doctor about any previous asbestos exposure in the first one-to-one interaction itself is very crucial, and that helps the doctor to think of a possible mesothelioma threat even before considering other
possibilities.

Treatments

Once the disease has been diagnosed, the doctor recommends the treatments based on several factors such as the extent of the damage, age and medical history of the person and overall health. The traditional treatments for mesothelioma include surgery if the tumor has spread out and is beyond radiation-curable radiation therapy (external and internal radiation),and chemotherapy, which includes using a pill or needle to insert anti-carcinogen drugs into the body.

With the advancement in science and technology, newer treatment techniques have been introduced, and some of it is looking promising as well.

Intraoperative photodynamic therapy is one such newer method that uses special drugs and light to destroy cancer cells. This method is used to study the earlier phases of mesothelioma in the chest.

Further, Immunotherapy is a way of boosting the immunity of ones own body against the spread of cancer. Also, recently, researches have found that Gene Therapy is effective in correcting the faulty genes causing mesothelioma. But these two methods are still in the clinical trials and are yet to be implemented in hospitals.

Even though a wide range of treatments are available for mesothelioma, clinical experiences reveals that none of this alone is capable of checking the disease effectively.

"Dear friends,

Just want to share a little bit of the sad story of my uncle in Kuantan that happened in the Lemon Grass Thai Cuisine, next to the Grand City Hotel at Jalan Beserah, Kuantan, last Monday night at 8pm .

My uncle was having dinner with 2 of his friends, they ordered the steam fish and the waiter/waitress put some *liquid gel *(not candles) underneath the fish for heat up. This thing suddenly exploded and caused my uncle to be injured in his ear, face, arm, and thank God that he was wearing glasses (or else he would have been blinded). The restaurant manager was not responsible enough even to visit my uncle since this accident happened. We'll have to try to find ways to help my Uncle to claim some compensation as he might not be able to work for at least 6 months. I'm not trying to condemn the restaurant but just want you all to be extra careful next time when ordering - steamed food - safer that they take away the 'fire' below. "

Hari ini, Pakcipan menerima email dari seorang rakan yang memanjangkan email yang diperolehi oleh beliau tentang kemiskinan di bandar. Malangnya, tidak dikepilkan bersama maklumat tentang pengirim email tersebut.

"Assalamualaikum wrb, Tuan/puan yang yang budiman dan prihatin,

Anak perempuan saya murid Tahun 5 (5 Iltizam) SRK Taman Melawati 2 selalu balik menceritakan tentang kisah sedih kawan sekelas dia yang terpaksa duduk dalam ‘khemah’ kerana tiada rumah setelah rumah setinggannya di robohkan. Mula- mula saya tidak berapa ambil kisah kerana anggapan saya manila ada di kawasan Ulu Klang/Melawati keluarga Melayu sebegitu susah, sekurang-kurangnya ada rumah. Tetapi cuti minggu lepas, saya telah dibawa sendiri oleh anak saya untuk melihat khemah dan keadaan keluarga tersebut di Ulu Klang bertentangan dengan Zoo Negara.

Memang amat menyedihkan sekali keadaan keluarga ini, En Zamri seorang guard di Puncak Niaga Klang gate, mempunyai 5 orang anak (15,14,11, 6 & 4tahun) memang tinggal dalam khemah dhaif (sebesar partition Manager kat PETRONAS) tanpa elektrik dan cuma bilik air buatan sendiri. Isteri tidak dapat bekerja kerana ada anak kecil 4 tahun walaupun ingin bekerja. Kepada sesiapa yang hendak lihat sendiri khemah keluarga ini boleh Nampak dari Highway MRR2 – Arah Ampang ke Taman Permata , selepas PETRONAS Hulu Kelang 2, berdekatan bus station ada sign board untuk U TURN ke Zoo Negara.

Menurut En Zamri rumah setinggan mereka di Batu 8 Hulu Klang telah dirobohkan 3 tahun lalu dan mereka telah membeli rumah kos rumah tetapi hingga sekarang tidak siap- siap. Keluarga lain mampu untuk buat rumah ditempat lain tapi beliau belum mampu untuk buat pondok sekalipun walaupun ada plan untuk buat ‘pondok sementara’ di tapak khemah itu…saya ada nampak sedikit kayu recycle terkumpul. Semasa kempen pilihanraya ada ada politician berjanji untuk bantu tapi diam begitu saja. Beliau dirikan khemah di situ kerana dekat sekolah dan keempat empat anak bersekolah di Melewati dapat jalan kaki ke sekolah saja. Menurut anak saya akhir-akhir ni dengan cuaca yang tak menentu, anaknya selalu demam dsb.

Saya juga telah bertanya macamana kami boleh bantu dia sekeluarga. Kalau ada rezeki dia cuma mahu dirikan pondok tempat bertuduh dengan harapan rumah kos murah mereka siap, tapi beliau keberatan untuk memberitahu saya kosnya. Setelah didesak beliau beritahu rumah Indon depan rumah dia kecil tu pun lebih kurang RM 3 ribu juga. Indon pun ada rumah, ini keluarga Melayu, En Zamri orang N9 dan isterinya orang Perak.

Alhamdulilah saya dapat memberitahu kisah keluarga ini pada Hj Zul, AJK Surau PETRONAS dan beliau berjanji akan cuba meminta bantuan ADUN Hulu Klang. Pihak Surau PETRONAS juga telah bermurah hati memberi sumbangan segera RM250. Saya dan suami juga akan cuba ikhtiarkan bantuan lain seperti carikan kerja part time untuk isterinya dsbnya. Menurut En Zamri, sekolah juga memberi bantuan.

Sahabat sahabat yang prihatin, saya mohon bantuan iklas semua kalau boleh kita membantu keluarga ini untuk dirikan ‘pondok’ untuk berteduh…..saya tahu ramai yang bermurah hati untuk memberi sumbangan peribadi , zakat (saya rasa keluarga ini layak mendapat zakat)….atau sebagainya….atau mungkin FOC boleh buat ‘keluarga angkat’ sebagai projek amal jariah kita. Kes pertama, dengan mendatangi rumah dan mengatakan ada surat untuk orang yg beralamat dirumah tersebut.Kawan- kawan nye yg lain akan bersembunyi bagi mengelakkan tuan rumah dapat melihatnya.

Rumahnye di datangi oleh lelaki yg tidak dikenali dengan mengatakan ada surat untuk Azhar.Tuan rumah (perempuan) tersebut hanya bercakap dengan lelaki ini melalui pintu rumahnye. Setelah hampir setengah jam berdebat dengan lelaki tersebut, tuan rumah ini memanggil jiran dibelakang
rumahnya.

Jirannye (Lelaki berbadan agak besar) bersemuka dengan lelaki tersebut melalui pintu pagar hadapan dan terperanjat apabila melihat disebalik tembok tersebut ada 2 org lelaki lagi. Setelah melihat jiran tuan rumah itu, lelaki tersebut berlalu pergi.

Kes ke-2 dimana punca bekalan air utama diluar rumah dimatikan. Pencuri menggunakan cara ini utk memerangkap mangsanye apabila tuan rumah tersebut ingin membuka semula paip air itu..

Kes ke-3, dengan menggunakan Tangisan bayi.Peluang pencuri adalah apabila tuan rumah tersebut cuba mencari punca tangisan bayi tersebut.

Kesemua kes tersebut berlaku sekitar jam 11.30 mlm dan ke atas. Jangan cuba keluar dari rumah sekiranye anda seorang berada dirumah.

Suatu ketika dulu, kita pernah digegarkan dengan sendiket 'gores dan menang' sehingga peraduan tersebut diharamkan oleh pihak berkuasa. Kini, muncul pula cara baru untuk mereka beroperasi. Masalah dengan Nobinco Network dan syarikat yang sengkatan dengannya sudah banyak kali Pak Cipan dengar dan terima email amaran tentangnya. Kita boleh rujuk dalam laman Persatuan Pengguna Islam Malaysia yang juga ada membincangkan masalah yang sama.

Kekadang kita juga akan berjumpa dengan perniagaan sebegini jika ke pasaraya Maidin dan Giant. Berhati-hatilah ya! Satu email menarik yang Pak Cipan terima adalah seperti dibawah:

25th April 08 6.30pm, ada sekumpulan 4 orang remaja Cina, 1 perempuan, 3 lelaki lepak kat depan The Store Semenyih. aku nampak diorang bawak beg dgn pegang kertas macam voucher, aku buat bodoh dan masuk je.. lepas keluar dr the store, masuk dlm kereta aku ada sorang budak Cina nama Tony approach aku. terpaksa la bukak tingkap sket. Dia pun tanya aku pernah menang apa2 x dari Tesco ke, Power Root ke? aku cakap x pernah.. oleh kerana aku x pernah
menang apa2, dia kata company dia bagi aku peluang untuk menang kereta, motor dan cash money yg bernilai lebih RM4K!

So, dia bagi voucher aku pun buka laa... tiba tiba dia terlompat lompat cam beruk! "fuiiyooo abang!!! abang betul ka x pernah menang apa2? abang ada chance menang kereta toyota altis woo...!!!" si tony tu la yg cakap camtu... bukan aku... dia tunjuk kat aku voucher yg dia buka tadi, ada gambar microwave oven n foot massage... kat satu lagi page color merah ada bulat warna silver.. dia kata nak tau hadiah apa, kena pergi office dia, nak scan....aku cakap kat dia, kalau kena beli barang, aku x nak... dia pun dgn muka x malu, masuk dlm kereta aku yg x berkunci tu (bodoh nya aku ) dan ajak aku pergi ke office dia utk check apa hadiah yg aku dapat. dlm kereta, menghala ke office dia kat kajang prima atas kedai spare part sederet dgn maybank tu, dia pun call la Mr.Wong, supervisor dia.. kata kitorang on the way. (sambil lompat2 dlm keta aku)

7pm.. sampai kat office, Tony dgn Mr. Wong ni ajak aku masuk bilik, tiba2 je, diorang pasang lagu cina kuat kuat.. dalam bilik tu, ada la gambar orang2 yg pernah menang hadiah dari company ni.. Mr. Wong ni pun cerita la kat aku, company ni buat promotion untuk brand diorang nama GENKI.. sebagai customer, aku cuma perlu buat iklan utk promote brg2 GENKI ni. hadiah yg tinggal ialah, Toyota Altis, Persona, Viva, Honda wave dgn cash money yg bernilai RM4K, RM10K and RM50K! mula2 aku x nak dan x yakin, tapi dia push jugak sambil tunjuk keratan surat khabar berita harian, ada sorang makcik dr Penang menang Altis dan sorang Polis dari Putrajaya menang Kancil. dia kata polis tu yakin dgn company ni sbb diorang ada credit card machine.

So, apa2 hal, boleh cancel dlm masa 24 jam kalau x puas hati. (tipu!!! bank kat m'sia mana ada policy camtu!! ) so, aku tanya camna nak dapat hadiah2 yg diorang bagi tau tadi? Wong ni kata, customer x payah beli barang, tapi cuma perlu bayar cukai iklan RM3K. pastu dia janji nak tolong aku, dia kata aku cuma perlu bayar rm1.5k, yg balance rm1.5K tu, dia tolong.. so, aku pun
swipe la credit card aku rm500... aku cakap dgn dia next week aku dtg balik lepas dpt gaji..

2nd May 08, 12.00pm, aku ke office Nabinco ni utk bayar balance "Cukai Iklan" tu... aku guna cash rm300 n swipe card rm1100. lepas tu si Wong ni, kenalkan aku pada manager dia Ah Meng.. mamat ni pun ajak aku masuk bilik yg sama, bukak lagu cina kuat2, pastu tunjuk surat perjanjian jual beli kat aku, suruh sign.. dlm surat tu kata, company memberi hadiah percuma dgn berbagai syarat la.. pastu dekat list hadiah2 yg bakal dimenangi, ada la kereta2 seperti yg di sebut oleh Wong hari, tapi yg pelik nya ada additional 1 lagi barang yg si Wong tu x pernah cerita dgn aku.. Jade Mattress yg konon2 nya berharga rm4.6K..oleh kerana credit cad dah swipe, aku pun x leh nak buat apa, sign je la surat tu.. bila dia scan voucher aku tu guna sekeping kertas hitam, tiba2 keluar no.12.. rupa2nya aku dapat hadiah jade mattress tu.. dlm hati, cilaka punya orang.. aku dah mula tunjuk muka x puas hati. Si Ah Meng ni bila nampak muka aku camtu, dia kata jgn risau, dia boleh tolong jualkan barang2 tu.. lepas amik gambar aku dgn camera phone N70 bodoh dia tu (konon konon nak buat iklan), dia pun call la sorang buyer yg konon nya nak beli barang tu dgn harga rm3.8K... pastu dia janji nak dtg rumah aku dgn tauke ni malam nanti..
3pm... aku pun balik dlm keadaan blurr campur bengang sebab x dapat Altis.. tapi dlm masa yg sama mengharap supaya taukeh ni boleh beli barang tu malam nanti.. tiba2 si Ah Meng ni call, dia kata kalau aku nak taukey ni beli semua 3 brg yg aku menang tu dgn harga rm7K, aku kena tambah lagi la balik dan bayar rm500 lagi.. dia bagi aku, fruit mixer.. kononnya tauke tu yg nak.. nanti malam dia call..

9pm ~ 2am, aku pun tunggu dgn bini aku kat rumah.. bini aku dah bising dah... ntah2 diorang tipu x bang? aku pun dah syak dah.. tapi x leh buat apa2 coz dah bayar... kol 9 aku call tauke tu, dia kata dia on the way balik dr Penang.. kol 10 call, dia kata kat Ipoh, kol 12 call, dia kata ada kat Tanjung Malim, hujan lebat.. kereta x leh jalan.. so, dia mintak aku tunggu sampai esok.. aku pun tido la dgn hati yg teramat amat sakit...

3 May 08 12pm: lepas balik dari majlis sukan anak aku kat UKM Bangi, aku pergi office dia, x bukak lagi.. call Ah Meng ni, dia cakap, tauke tu maybe boleh datang malam ni atau esok... aku dah mula bengang n marah dia... dia cakap, dia pun takut jugak sbb duit dia pun dah keluar rm600.. aku mula syak something wrong..sampai rumah, bini aku bagi idea yg tersangat sangat
bijak, sampai aku terasa aku ni betul2 bodoh orangnya.. bini aku kata, cuba cari nama company ni dlm internet.. bila aku tekan je Google Search nama Nabinco Network ni, baru la keluar byk complain2 org2 yg dah kena tipu dgn syarikat ni.. korang x caya, cuba surf website ni yg ditujukan khas utk org2 yg dah pernah kena tipu! http://www.welleywatch.heritage-tech.net
rupa2 nya aku confirm kena tipu.. sampai ke hari ni, si Ah Meng dan kuncu kuncu nya, sekor pun x call aku untuk beli balik barang2 tu.. kalau korang baca komen2 yg ada dlm website tu, company ni dah lama dah buat kerja ni, cuma last year guna gores dan menang, tahun ni guna voucher hadiah plak.. modus operandi sama, guna remaja Cina yg berasal dari Penang atau Perak, aku tau sbb diorang cakap hokkien. tugas diorang cuma untuk ajak bakal mangsa macam aku pergi jumpa supervisor dia macam si Wong & Ah Meng tadi tu.. gaji yg diorang dapat ni kira ok la utk lepasan SPM, rm1.2k.. based on report dlm website, almost all mangsa dapat hadiah jade matress tu... pastu, diorang ada 1 persamaan, ejen ejen penyangak ni, sume ada kuku panjang kat ibu jari kiri mereka..

4.30pm: aku pergi buat police report kat Semenyih, police yg amik statement aku tu kata, ada sorang makcik buat report kena tipu cam aku gak semalam (Jumaat 2nd May)..dia kena ajak kat Econsave, Semenyih.. tapi dia kena lagi teruk!! RM37K beb.. aku ni... adeh... tapi yg menghampakan ialah, polis pun x leh buat apa2, sbb ada surat jual beli oleh Nabinco ni.. padahal, aku x dapat pun...

4th may 08: aku tunggu gak la si bangsat Ah Meng tu call.. seperti yg disangka.. abuk pun tarak.. aku sms kat boss, mintak cuti. 5th May 08: setelah buat surat "cooling off 10 days letter", aku, wife dgn anak2 aku pegi ke KPDN Putrajaya utk buat report Tribunal pengguna. rupa2 nya dah ramai org yg kena. cuma dulu nama company dia lain, Worldwide Freshway Sdn Bhd., HQ kat bukit Mertajam nama Welley Corporation. masa aku buat report tu pun ada sorang brother dari Shah Alam pun kena oleh Nabinco ni, RM5K.. pergh... lepas abih report kat TTPN tu, aku pergi penguatkuasa KPDN kat tingkat 2, utk buat statement. Diorang pun kata, x cukup kuasa utk suruh company camni tutup kedai.. so, aku pun boleh doa je laa...

5.00pm: aku dah anta bini aku balik rumah, aku pegi balik ke Nabinco ni utk bagi diorang surat TTPN, report police dan cooling off letter tu. nasib baik mangkuk ayun 3 ekor tu takde kat situ, kalau x.. nahas lu orang! aku mintak sign dgn chop company dr clerk dia dan aku blah.. terima kasih kat tajul sbb jadi body guard aku hari tu...

5.30pm: aku nak pegi beli teh tarik tongkat ali kat The Store..sampai saja kat parking, aku nampak 6 orang geng geng Nabinco ni sedang beroperasi menipu sorang makcik dan sorang brother melayu.. aku pun naik angin, aku parking, pergi dekat makcik tu, direct aku cakap, "kak! jgn percaya cakap diorang ni!! saya baru kena tipu RM2.4K!! ada sorang lagi makcik kena RM37K!" makcik tu pun buat x layan dgn budak pompuan Cina tu... pastu, aku pergi kat brother melayu dlm myvi plak, cakap benda yg sama kat dia.. pastu aku blah, tengok2 diorang masih lagi push brother myvi tu.. aku bengang, terus capai digital camera aku, amik gambar diorang.. salah sorang dari 6 orang tu, dtg marah aku..dia tanya apsal aku amik gambar dan ugut nak pukul aku. aku blah sambil tunjuk, F$%K U!! kat dia.. pastu aku masuk balik kereta dan blah dari situ.. pegi econsave plak.. rupa2 nya ada lagi 2 orang kat situ.. aku pun buat benda yg sama dan amik gambar 2 org mangkuk ayun tu.. sampai kat rumah, aku x puas hati lagi.. berapa ramai lagi orang yg akan tertipu oleh Nabinco bangsat ni??!! aku call polis kajang... diorang pun anta peronda dan mintak aku ke The Store balik.. bila aku sampai situ, beruk2 Nabinco tu dah blah.. aku pun buat statement sambil request kat polis tu, kalau boleh datang la ronda kat sini setiap hari dlm pukul 5 hingga 7pm...

So, itu cerita aku, yg aku mintak dari korang ialah, tolong sebarkan cerita ni kat kawan kawan dan sedara mara anda! kalau ada sapa2 yg dah terkena cam aku, bagi e-mail aku kat diorang, aku boleh cuba usahakan untuk tolong diorang dapatkan balik duit diorang.. sama sama la kita bekerja sama utk menghapuskan makhluk2 yg kurang ajar mcm diorang ni.. kepada member2 chinese, kalau u all ada kawan atau saudara mara dari utara yg kerja dgn company ni, suruh diorang balik dan insaf.. kalau nak cam diorang ni senang je, ada bwk voucher warna hijau or putih, pastu bwk beg dlm ada voucher, pakaian selekeh, yg lelaki pakai selipar je.. , mintak tolong sebarkan pada kawan2 di seluruh malaysia ok!! semoga korang x terkena cam aku...

Tips menghalang kecurian seperti yang diberi oleh Polis DiRaja Malaysia

(1) Jangan biarkan anak-anak tidur di ruang tamu seorang diri (Mereka mungkin menggunakan anak sebagai tebusan).

(2) Kunci atau sorokkan semua pisau-pisau yang terdapat di dapur sebelum tidur (Kesemua kes kecurian di dapati pisau hilang dan menurut polis mereka akan mencari pisau dahulu sebelum mencuri bertujuan untuk melindungi diri mereka).

(3) Sekiranya terdengar/terlihat paip air di luar rumah terbuka pada tengah malam (pukul 12:00 ke atas), jangan keluar rumah untuk menutup paip tersebut kerana ini adalah taktik terbaru mereka di mana mereka telah menunggu diluar pintu rumah untuk masuk (Kes terbaru berlaku di Dungun dan Petaling Jaya).

(4) Beritahu anak-anak sekiranya hendak ke tandas (jika tandas jauh) di waktu tengah malam, kejutkan ibubapa untuk bersama mereka.

(5) Jangan simpan barang-barang kemas di dalam almari baju (Cara lama ....).

(6) Bawa alarm kereta bersama semasa tidur, in case terjaga tengah malam, cuba on and off kan balik untuk menakutkan pencuri (Menandakan kita sentiasa alert).

(7) Tekan button merah alarm kereta anda jika anda suspect pencuri sudah masuk ke dalam rumah.

(8) Sekiranya terlihat orang-orang yang agak aneh dan asing di kawasan rumah anda, sila dapatkan plet no motor/kereta mereka (Selalunya naik motor dan mereka ni biasanya berdua, setiap kali kita lalu depan mereka, mereka akan menundukkan kepala).

(9) Pesan kepada jiran, sekiranya ada sesiapa yang datang ke rumah kita dan mengaku saudara kita bertujuan untuk mengambil barang-barang, jangan benarkan, beri nombor telefor pejabat anda kepada jiran supaya mereka boleh double check dengan kita.

(10) Semasa tidur, pastikan handphone anda berada di sisi atau pastikan juga Cordless Phone anda berada di sisi anda ataupun sambungkan satu extension dalam bilek tidur anda. Ini memudahkan anda membuat panggilan kecemasan sekiranya anda terasa kehadiran pencuri di dalam rumah anda.

(11) Adakan senarai nombor telefon kecemasan seperti polis kawasan anda, bomba kawasan anda, 999 atau sebagainya. Pastikan nombor-nombor ini disimpan dalam handphone anda. Kalau boleh, hafalkan nombor tersebut. Ini memudahkan anda membuat panggilan telefon.

(12) Kalau berkemampuan, pasangkan alat pengesan kecurian di rumah atau automatik alarm.

(13) Lampu porch & lampu belakang rumah sepatutnya terpasang secara automatik bila malam, baik semasa kita ada di rumah atau pergi bercuti.

(14) Kalau cuti lama, pesan jiran kutip surat-surat dalam peti surat . Peti surat yang penuh membantu pencuri menghidu ketiadaan tuan rumah.

(15) Kalau kawasan anda kerap berlaku kecurian, buat permohonan rasmi dari Balai Polis berdekatan supaya ada anggota polis buat rondaan yang kerap di kawasan anda.

(16) Kereta Proton adalah paling mudah dicuri. Kalau kereta anda brand new, sekurang-kurangnya anda perlu lock gear & steering sebelum tidur (Sebenarnya masih boleh dicuri, tetapi akan berjaya melambatkan pencuri).

(17) Kalau ada anak-anak perempuan, sebaik-baiknya pintu biliknya dikunci dari dalam (Sebab ada pencuri yg mengambil kesempatan seksual) dan anda perlu ada kunci pendua in case berlaku kebakaran.

(18) Sekurang-kurangnya simpan kayu hoki atau baseball di bawah katil anda buat mempertahankan diri dari pencuri yang ganas.

(19) Jangan letak kunci bawah pasu bunga/mail box/alang pintu/tepi tingkap bila keluar (Pencuri dah lama tau taktik ni...). Lebih selamat beri pada jiran yang kita kenal rapat.

(20) Kalau sewa rumah baru pastikan anda tukar padlock baru, mana tau bekas-bekas penyewa lama simpan kunci pendua.

(21) Kurangkan pendedahan dan pergaulan anda dengan pekerja asing.

Seringkali kita mendegar keraguan tahap kebersihan roti high 5, yang dibuat oleh syarikat Silver Bird. kini, satu lagi bukti mampu meyakinkan kita betapa pengeluar roti ini tidak peka dengan aspek kebersihan.

Peristiwa ini terjadi di Stsesen Petronas Bandar Muadzam Shah, Pahang. Seorang pelanggan telah membeli mini muffin jenama Silver Bird, yang juga pembuat roti High 5 pada 24 April 2008. Please note that the LDP highway speed limit will be monitored by the CCTV. The speed limit is 90 kmh and if you go above that at 91 kmh, the camera will auto record and pass to police. The few identified areas where the CCTV is monitoring are as follows:

1) on the overhead pedestrian bridge in front of Kelana Jaya LRTstation, monitoring the straight stretch

2) Somewhere near Western Digital (CCTV might be on Western Digital), monitoring the straight stretch in front of the Kelana Jaya Seafood

3) On IKEA, Monitoring straight stretch in front of IKEA and 1 Utama

4) On the double overhead bridge, monitoring the stretch between the Puchong toll and the Federal Highway turnoff.

5) In the tunnel near SS2 (please note that the speed limit is 60kmh, not 90 kmh)

PAKU DI DINDING.....

Ada seorang pemuda yang sangat pemarah. Dia tidak dapat mengawal kemarahannya walaupun ianya hanya satu masalah kecil sahaja. Pada suatu hari, bapanya telah menghadiahkannya dengan seguni paku.

"Untuk apakah paku-paku ini ayah?" tanya pemuda tersebut.

"Setiap kali kamu marah, kamu pakulah tembok batu di hadapan rumah kita ini, bagi melepaskan kemarahan mu" jawab ayahnya.

Pada hari yang Pertama sahaja, pemuda itu telah memaku sebanyak 37 batang paku pada tembok batu tersebut. Selepas beberapa minggu, setelah dia dapat mengurangkan kemarahannya, jumlah paku yang digunakan juga berkurangan. Dia mendapati, adalah lebih mudah mengawal kemarahannya dari memukul paku menembusi tembok batu tersebut. Akhirnya tibalah pada suatu hari, dimana pemuda tersebut tidak marah, walau sekali pun.

Dia pun memberitahu ayahnya mengenai perkara tersebut dengan gembira. Bapanya mengucapkan tahniah dan menyuruh dia mencabut kembali paku itu satu persatu, pada setiap hari yang ia lalui tanpa kemarahan.

Hari berganti hari, dan akhirnya dia berjaya mencabut kesemua paku-paku tersebut. Pemuda tersebut lantas memberitahu perkara tersebut kepada bapanya dengan bangganya.

Bila kau menyatakan sesuatu atau melakukan sesuatu ketika marah, ianya akan meninggalkan kesan parut dan luka, sama seperti ini.

Kau boleh menikam seseorang dengan pisau dan membunuhnya. Tetapi ingatlah, tidak kira berapa kali kau memohon maaf dan menyesal atas perbuatam mu, namun lukanya masih tetap ada. Luka di hati adalah lebih pedih dari luka fizikal.

Sahabat adalah permata yang sukar dicari.Mereka membuatkan kamu ketawa dan menggalakan mu ke arah kejayaan. Sahabat juga adalah seorang pendengar, berkongsi suka dan duka dan sentiasa membuka hatinya kepada kita.

HALAL PORK..!!??

Banyak kita lihat tanda halal dalam produk-produk tempatan dan dari luar negara. Malaysia memperkenalkan logo HALALnya sendiri, sementara negara-negara lain tidak diketahui samada dari pihak berkuasa atau direka oleh pengeluar produk tersebut.

Contoh paling menarik adalah produk daging khinzir dalam gambar disebelah ini. Siap tanda halal besar lagi kat bawahnya. Mungkin khinzir ini disembelih mengikut cara Islam, maka diletakkan tanda halal??

Pak Cipan sangat bimbang dengan makanan yang diimport walaupun pihak berkuasa Malaysia menyatakan daging tersebut sentiasa dipantau. Apa yang kita perlu buat...???

PAU AHMAD

Satu lagi email yang Pak Cipan dapat dari kengkawan.
Mengikut kawan Pak Cipan, penulis ini namanya Haris Fadzlah Mat Ali, tak pasti betul ke tidak.

Saya teringat, sewaktu pejabat saya di Bandar Teknologi Kajang, Semenyih. Semasa itu saya dengan seorang lagi rakan perniagaan Ustaz Ridzuan cuba mencari rakan-rakan bagi membangunkan pasar malam IKS di sekitar bandar kajang, bangi dan semenyih.

Semasa sedang mencari-cari rakan-rakan untuk membekalkan produk-produk halal kepada usahawan pasar malam tersebut terlihat dek kami kilang membuat pau iaitu PAU AHMAD. Dengan selambalah saya dan Ustaz Ridzuan masuk kekilang untuk berkenalan dengan Ahmad tuan punya kilang. Bila masuk je yang menyambut kami adalah seorang perempuan Melayu yang bertudung labuh, alhamdulillah dapat lagi seorang usahawan melayu yang agak famous juga sebab dah beberapa kali bila berhenti di R&R saya makan pau AHMAD nih.

Perempuan Melayu nih bertanya kepada kami nak jumpa siapa? Dan kami maklumkan kepada beliau yang kami nak jumpa Boss, dia agak hairan maklumlah Ustaz Ridzuan nih pakai serban dan saya pula bertali leher. Perempuan Melayu nih jawab, Boss tak ada di pejabat dia dah keluar dan kami minta kebenaran masuk ke kilang nak tengok, tetiba keluar seorang perempuan cina yang kemudiannya kami tahu rupanya dia adalah pengurus kilang.

Kami jadi was-was kenapa pula kilang macam nih ada pengurus cina dan kami di bawa masuk ke pejabat yang mana pandangan saya dan ustaz Ridzuan terpandang kepada Tok Kong yang ada dalam pejabat tersebut dan semua pekerjanya (ofis) adalah cina. Kami kembali bertanya kepada pengurus cina tersebut, En. Ahmad pergi kemana? Dengan selamba dia maklumkan kepada kami bahawa En. Ahmad bawa Boss keluar.

Kami lagi bertambah konfius, wah kalau Ahmad bawa Boss siapa pulak si Boss nih? Kami bertanya lagi itu Boss sapa nama? Alamak.... Boss Ah Chong rupanya... Istifar panjang Ustaz Ridzuan. Rupa-rupanya Pau Ahmad diambil sempena nama Driver dia. Aduh terkena lagi sebiji..."

BHD.- Sebuah kilang memproses bihun dan laksa iaitu KILANG BIHUN BERAS INDAH SDN. BHD. (Co. No. 365216-T) yang terletak di :- Lot 1123, Tingkat Selamat 6, Kampung Selamat, Tasek Gelugor, Seberang Prai, 13300, P.Pinang.

Oleh itu, bagaimana persoalan ini terjadi?
Lebih memeranjatkan lagi, terdapat pusat ternakan babi yang keluasannya lebih kurang 2 ekar yang mampu menternak beratus ekor babi dalam satu masa bersebelahan kilang bihun tersebut dan hanya dipisahkan dengan pagar. Betapa dekat dan hampirnya kilang memproses bihun ini dengan pusat ternakan babi sehingga berkongsi pagar. Pastinya keadaan kawasan tersebut tidak dapat digambarkan dan tidak INDAH seperti nama kilang tersebut lebih tepat lagi INDAH KHABAR DARI RUPA. Dan ini lari dari cop halal yang digunakan kerana premis makanan bersebelahan kawasan najis. Diketahui, pemilik Kilang Bihun Beras Indah dan pusat ternakan babi mempunyai hubungan persaudaraan dan tidak perlu terkejut segalanya mereka berkongsi bersama seperti pagar, longkang , saluran air bumbung dan juga sistem kumbahan.Lagi penipuan yang Kilang Bihun Beras Indah lakukan dengan meletakkan alamat pendaftaran syarikat iaitu:-

Bungkusan bihun yang berbeza dengan alamat sebenar untuk tujuan mengelirukan pihak pengguna. Sepatutnya pemilik yang ingin mendaftarkan kilang mereka perlu meletakkan alamat kilang mereka seperti kilang BIHUN BERAS INDAH meletakkan alamat mereka di Jalan Tingkat 6, Kampung Selamat. Mengapa mereka ingin mengelak dengan meletakkan alamat lain? Ini kerana Kampung Selamat memang dikenali ramai dengan kawasan penternakan babi yang sangat besar.

Jika dilihat begini, bagaimana kilang ini berjaya mendapat lesen?Alamat yang tertera pada bungkusan tidak sama dengan alamat kilang Bihun Beras Indah bagi tujuan menutup atau mengaburi pengguna.

Yang menjadi tanda tanya, bagaimana Kilang Bihun Beras Indah Sdn. Bhd. ini boleh mendapat kelulusan Majlis Perbandaran Seberang Prai (MPSP) memandangkan pusat ternakan babi ini telah wujud lebih dari 10 tahun dan atas alasan apa kilang Bihun Beras Indah ini dibenarkan beroperasi? Adakah mereka telah disuap atau disogok? Ataupun dengan kata lain rasuah di bawah meja? Tidak pelikkah anda bagaimana mereka boleh membuka kilang tersebut dan bertahan hingga ke hari ini? Mustahil sama sekali jikalau kita fikir dengan kepala otak kita sendiri. Tidak logik!!!!!!

Malahan, menurut sumber yang diperolehi, kira-kira 2 tahun lepas iaitu dalam tahun 2005 pihak Kementerian Perdagangan dan Hal Ehwal Pengguna - P.Pinang, Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri P.Pinang dan Majlis Agama Negeri P.Pinang pernah membuat serbuan terhadap kilang bihun Beras Indah tersebut. Malangnya sehingga kini kilang ini masih mampu beroperasi seperti biasa. Mengapa keadaan ini terjadi? Perlukah mereka diserang beribu kali baru boleh ditutup atau kerajaan kita terlalu lembut dan kalah dengan sebuah kilang bihun?!!

Penipuan seterusnya, kilang ini juga mengeluarkan produk bihun dan laksa yang berjenama CAP CILI, CAP KETUPAT dan CAP LANGSAT untuk dua pelanggan tetap beliau iaitu:-

STROKE IDENTIFICATION:

"During a BBQ, a friend stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) .....she said she had just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes.

They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food. While she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening.

Ingrid's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6:00 pm Ingrid passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Ingrid would be with us today. Some don't die.... they end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead."

It only takes a minute to read this.......
A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke...totally . He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.

RECOGNIZING A STROKE
Thank God for the sense to remember the '3' steps, STR . Read and Learn!

Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke .

Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:

S * Ask the individual to SMILE.

T * Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently)
(i.e. It is sunny out today)

R * Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.

If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call for help immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

RM50.... from ATM machine

Just want to share a real life story.

This incident happened on today evening (1 April 2008). I went to the PJ State (Also known as PJ New Town) Maybank to withdraw RM500. Unfortunately for me, only 9 RM50 notes came out instead of 10. What happened was, one of the RM50 notes was folded exactly in half and placed at a corner of the stack (Please refer to the attached pictures showing how two RM50 notes can be counted as three).

I was so upset because I have no proof that the ATM did not give me the correct amount. After much hesitation, I finally decided to call Maybank to complain about the incident knowing that I may not get back my money. But at least I can caution them of such incident. When I told of my situation to the Maybank Customer Service Representative, to my surprise, I was informed that I'm not the first victim. It seems that similar cases have occurred before. The lady explained that it is the malfunction of the ATM and the money may accidentally get folded in half. However when questioned, she was unable to explain to me why the money can be folded exactly in half and placed nicely in the corner of the stack.

I believe this is the new technique of cheating money, done by the people who are responsible of placing the money into the ATMs. In the stack of money which is to be placed into the ATM, one RM50 note is folded nicely in half, for every one note taken out of the stack of money. The folded RM50 notes are then placed at the edge of the stack and positioned in the ATM where the money would be counted. With that done, every one folded note would be counted by the machine as two notes.

I may be wrong about how and why it happened, but I would like to warn everyone about this incident. Please be careful when withdrawing money from the ATM (it may happen to other banks as well) and do count your money to be sure. If such an incident really happened to you (*touch wood*), please do call up the bank to complain about this. If everyone keeps quiet about this, the bank may be unaware of such incidents and the people responsible may just continue doing what they do without getting caught! Even if it is actually because of the ATM malfunctioning, the bank should know about this and there is also a chance of you getting your money back.*

IBU KU PEMBOHONG ????

Kisah yang dihantar seorang rakan.....

" Memang sukar untuk orang lain percaya,tapi itulah yang berlaku. Ibu saya memang seorang pembohong!! Sepanjang ingatan saya sekurang-kurangnya 8 kali ibu membohongi saya. Saya perlu catatkan segala pembohongan itu untuk dijadikan renungan anda sekalian.

Cerita ini bermula ketika saya masih kecil. Saya lahir sebagai seorang anak lelaki dalam sebuah keluarga miskin. Makan minum serba kekurangan. Kami sering kelaparan. Adakalanya, selama beberapa hari kami terpaksa makan berlaukkan ikan masin dikongsi satu keluarga. Sebagai anak yang masih kecil, saya sering saja merungut. Saya menangis mahukan nasi dan lauk yang banyak.
Tapi ibu cepat memujuk. Ketika makan, ibu sering membahagikan bahagian nasinya untuk saya. Sambil memindahkan nasi ke mangkuk saya, ibu berkata : ""Makanlah nak ibu tak lapar." *– PEMBOHONGAN IBU YANG PERTAMA.*

Ketika saya mulai besar ibu yang gigih sering meluangkan watu senggangnya untuk pergi memancing di tali air berhampiran rumah. Ibu berharap dari ikan hasil pancingan itu dapat memberikan sedikit makanan untuk membesarkan kami adik-beradik. Pulang dari memancing, ibu memasak gulai ikan yang segar dan mengundang selera. Sewaktu saya memakan gulai ikan itu ibu duduk disamping kami dan memakan sisa daging ikan yang masih menempel di tulang daripada bekas sisa ikan yang saya makan tadi. Saya sedih melihat ibu seperti itu.. Hati saya tersentuh lalu dengan menggunakan sudu saya memberikan ikan itu kepada ibu. Tetapi ibu dengan cepat menolaknya. Ibu berkata : "Makanlah nak, ibu tak suka makan ikan." *– PEMBOHONGAN IBU YANG KEDUA.*

Di usia awal remaja, saya masuk sekolah menengah. Ibu pergi ke kedai dengan membawa sejumlah penyapu lidi dan kuih-muih untuk menyara persekolahan saya,abang dan kakak. Suatu dinihari lebih kurang pukul 1.30 pagi saya terjaga dari tidur. Saya melihat ibu membuat kuih dengan beremankan sebuah pelita di hadapannya. Beberapa kali saya melihat kepala ibu terhangguk kerana mengantuk. Saya berkata : "Ibu, tidurlah, esok pagi ibu kena pergi kebun pula." Ibu tersenyum dan berkata : "Cepatlah tidur nak, ibu belum mengantuk lagi." *– PEMBOHONGAN IBU YANG KETIGA.*

Di hujung musim persekolahan, ibu meminta cuti kerja supaya dapat menemani saya pergi ke sekolah untuk menduduki peperiksaan penting. Ketika hari sudah siang, terik panas matahari mulai menyinari, ibu terus sabar menunggu saya di luar dewan. Ibu seringkali saja tersenyum dan mulutnya terkumat-kamit berdoa kepada Illahi agar saya lulus ujian peperiksaan ini dengan cemerlang. Ketika loceng berbunyi menandakan ujian sudah selesai, ibu dengan segera menyambut saya dan menuangkan kopi yang sudah disiapkan dalam botol yang dibawanya. Kopi yang kental itu tidak dapat dibandingkan dengan kasih sayang ibu yang jauh lebih kental. Melihat tubuh ibu yang dibasahi peluh, saya segera memberikan cawan saya itu kepada ibu dan menyuruhnya minum. Tapi ibu cepat-cepat menolaknya dan berkata : "Minumlah nak, ibu tak haus!!" *– PEMBOHONGAN IBU YANG KEEMPAT.*

Setelah pemergian ayah kerana sakit, iaitu selepas saya baru beberapa bulan dilahirkan, ibulah yang mengambil tugas sebagai ayah kepada kami sekeluarga. Ibu bekerja mengambil upah di kebun, membuat penyapu lidi dan menjual kuih-muih agar kami tidak kelaparan. Tapi apalah sangat kudrat seorang ibu. Kehidupan keluarga kami semakin susah dan susah. Melihat keadaan keluarga yang semakin parah, seorang pakcik yang baik hati dan tinggal berjiran dengan kami, datang untuk membantu ibu. Anehnya, ibu menolak bantuan itu. Jiran-jiran sering kali menasihati ibu supaya menikah lagi agar ada seorang lelaki yang akan menjaga dan mencarikan wang untuk kami sekeluarga. Tetapi ibu yang keras hatinya tidak mengendahkan nasihat mereka. Ibu berkata : "Saya tidak perlukan cinta dan saya tidak perlukan lelaki." *– PEMBOHONGAN IBU YANG KELIMA.*

Setelah kakak dan abang habis belajar dan mula bekerja, ibu sudah pun tua. Kakak dan abang menyuruh ibu supaya berehat sahaja di rumah. Tidak payahlah lagi bersusah payah dan bersengkang mata untuk mencari duit. Tetapi ibu tidak mahu. Ibu rela pergi ke pasar setiap pagi menjual sedikit sayur untuk memenuhi keperluan hidupnya. Kakak dan abang yang bekerja jauh di kota besar sering mengirimkan wang untuk membantu memenuhi keperluan ibu, pun begitu ibu tetap berkeras tidak mahu menerima wang tersebut. Malahan ibu mengirim balik wang itu dan ibu berkata : "Jangan susah-susah, ibu ada duit." *– PEMBOHONGAN IBU YANG KEENAM.*

Setelah tamat pengajian di universiti, saya melanjutkan lagi pelajaran ke peringkat sarjana di luar Negara. Pengajian saya di sana dibiayai sepenuhnya oleh sebuah syarikat besar. Sarjana itu saya sudahi dengan cemerlang,kemudian saya pun bekerja dengan syarikat yang telah membiayai pengajian saya juga di luar negara. Dengan gaji yang agak lumayan, saya berhajat membawa ibu untuk menikmati penghujung hidupnya di luar negara. Pada pandangan saya, ibu sudah puas bersusah payah untuk kami. Hampir eluruh hidupnya habis dengan penderitaan, eloklah kalau hari-hari tuanya ini ibu habiskan dengan keceriaan dan keindahan pula. Tetapi ibu yang baik hati, menolak ajakan saya. Ibu tidak mahu menyusahkan anaknya ini dengan berkata ; "Tak payahlah, ibu tak biasa tinggal di negara orang." *– PEMBOHONGAN IBU YANG KETUJUH.*

Beberapa tahun berlalu, ibu semakin tua.. Suatu malam saya menerima berita ibu diserang penyakit kanser. Ibu mesti dibedah secepat mungkin. Saya yang ketika itu berada jauh diseberang samudera terus segera pulang untuk menjenguk ibunda tercinta. Saya melihat ibu terbaring lemah di katil hospital setelah menjalani pembedahan. Ibu yang kelihatan sangat tua, menatap wajah saya dengan penuh kerinduan. Ibu menghadiahkan saya sebuah senyuman biarpun agak kaku kerana terpaksa menahan sakit yang menjalari setiap inci tubuhnya.. Saya dapat melihat dengan jelas betapa seksanya penyakit itu telah memamah tubuh ibu sehingga ibu menjadi terlalu lemah dan kurus. Saya menatap wajah ibu sambil berlinangan air mata. Saya cium tangan ibu kemudian saya kecup pula pipi dan dahinya. Di saat itu hati saya terlalu pedih, sakit sekali melihat ibu dalam keadaan seperti ini. Tetapi ibu tetap tersenyum dan berkata : "Jangan menangis nak, ibu tak sakit." *– PEMBOHONGAN IBU YANG KELAPAN.*

Setelah mengucapkan pembohongan yang kelapan itu, ibunda tercinta menutup matanya untuk kali terakhir kali.

Anda bertuah kerana masih mempunyai ibu dan ayah. Anda boleh memeluk dan menciumnya. Kalau ibu anda jauh dari mata, anda boleh menelefonnya sekarang, dan berkata, 'Ibu,saya sayangkan ibu.' Tapi tidak saya. Sehingga kini saya diburu rasa bersalah yang amat sangat kerana biarpun saya mengasihi ibu lebih dari segala-galanya, tapi tidak pernah sekalipun saya membisikkan kata-kata itu ke telinga ibu, sampailah saat ibu menghembuskan nafasnya yang terakhir.

Umat Islam memandang serius filem FITNA yang dihasilkan oleh Geert Wilders, seorang ahli parlimen Belanda, yang kini ditayangkan di dalam internet di seluruh dunia melalui you tube.

Filem Fitna itu, yang disiarkan selama 15 minit dalam sebuah laman web pada 27 Mac, mengkritik Islam, dan ayat Qur'an digunakan dengan sewenang-wenangnya dan tidak mengikut konteks.

Ahli majlis perundangan Belanda Geert Wilders menerbitkan filem itu, yang menunjukkan kenyataan daripada paderi yang radikal dan menyebut surah Al-Quran dengan diselitkan imej serangan 11 Sept terhadap Pusat Dagangan Dunia (WTC) di New York, pengeboman kereta api penumpang di Madrid, Sepanyol pada 2004 dan pembunuhan pengeluar filem Belanda Theo van Gogh di Amsterdam street pada akhir tahun itu.

Sedikit tentang sibangsat Geert Wilder. Beragama Roman Katholik dan pernah berjuang bersama tentera Israel. Si Bangsat ini pernah menyaran umat Islam negaranya supaya mengoyak Al Quran jika ingin menetap di Belanda. Juga pernah menyatakan bahawa sekiranya Nabi Junjungan kita masih hidup, baginda akan disenaraikan sebagai pengganas. Kenali Musuh

Kenyataan yang dikeluarkan oleh Tun Dr Mahathir semalam agar produk Belanda dipulaukan hanya mendapat perlian sinis daripada blog pro-zionis dan anti-Islamis seperti Jihad watch dan sebagainya.

Mereka berkata bahawa negara Belanda akan lebih kaya jikalau produk mereka di pulaukan oleh orang Islam kerana negara Eropah pula yang akan membeli produk mereka. Malah mereka memerli dengan mengatakan ekonomi mereka tidak terjejas dengan pemulauan produk ini kerana negara Islam adalah negara miskin. Tahniah kepada Ahmad Nabil Bin Ahmad, berusia 25 tahun kerana menjadi juara Raja Lawak Astro Jumaat lepas. Sesungguhnya, lawak Nabil memang menjadi. Dan, lawak beliau itu memang satu kelainan daripada lawak-lawak pelawak tanah air.

Tahniah juga kepada Astro kerana Raja Lawak musim kedua ini mendapat sambutan yang hangat berbanding tahun lepas. Gelanggang Raja Lawak mingguan sentiasa penuh dengan penonton dan Gelanggang Raja Lawak terakhir Jumaat lepas di Dewan Sivik dipenuhi dengan penyokong termasuk ramai artis dari tanah air.

Tahniah kepada semua peserta Raja Lawak kali ini kerana lawak mereka memang lain dari yang lain, lebih mantap dan lebih berkesan. Begitu juga dengan dua orang hos rancangan tersebut iaitu Zizan dan Johan. Walaupun mereka tidak menjadi juara pada tahun lepas, tuah manusia siapa yang tahu? Di perairan Kelantan terdapat simpanan GAS ASLI sebanyak 13 trillion kaki persegi yang sudah sedia untuk diterokai. (13,000,000,000,000).

Ia cukup untuk 7 generasi rakyat Kelantan. (lebih kurang 500 tahun lamanya). Ianya terletak di Blok-Blok berikut:

- Blok A18
- Blok B17 & C19
- PM3
- Sub-Blok Ular
- PM301 & PM302
- PM303
- PM311 & 312

Rakyat Kelantan menerusi kerajaan pimpinan Tuan Guru menuntuk hak Pendaratan GAS ASLI itu di buat di pantai Kelantan dan menuntut royalti GAS ASLI yang menjadi hasil bumi rakyat Kelantan di bayar kepada Rakyat Kelantan.

APA YANG DISEMBUNYIKAN DARI RAKYAT KELANTAN

- Petronas mengesahkan bahawa operasi GAS ASLI di BLOK A 18 sudah bermula menerusi Syarikat Carigali HESS.

- Petronas memegang 50% saham di dalam syarikat tersebut menerusi Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd dan 50% lagi dipegang oleh Aremada Hess Inc.

- Sekarang ini, operasinya mengeluarkan 6,000 tong GAS ASLI sehari.

- Jarak Blok A18 adalah lebih dekat ke Kota Bharu daripada di hantar ke Kerteh dan Songkla.

- Kerajaan BN bagaimanapun memilih pendaratan GAS ASLI itu dibuat di Songkla walaupun kosnya lebih tinggi akibat jarak yang jauh itu.

Dalam usaha mempertahankan hak rakyat Kelantan dan memperkasakan hasil bumi Kelantan untuk rakyat Kelantan, Kerajaan Kelantan pimpinan PAS telah meluluskan pembinaan Terminal Pendaratan Gas Asli dan juga Supply Base untuk Petroleum.

Menerusi penerokaan GAS ASLI di Blok A 18, setiap hari, Petronas sepatutnya membayar rakyat Kelantan royalti yang bernilai RM512,000.00 (RM512 ribu) sehari dan ini bererti Kerajaan Kelantan seharusnya mendapat pendapatan tambahan dari royalti GAS ASLI yang bernilai RM186,880,000 (RM186 juta) setahun. Menerusi hasil terbaharu ini, PAS Kelantan sudah berjanji untuk memberi subsidi gas memasak sebanyak RM3.00 se tong bagi rakyat Kelantan.. PAS Kelantan juga akan menggunakan hasil pendapatan baru itu untuk tujuan kebajikan dan mempertingkatkan taraf hidup rakyat Kelantan serta membasmi kemiskinan.

PERANCANGAN OPERASI TELAGA-TELAGA GAS ASLI LAIN DI PERAIRAN KELANTAN
- Blok A 18 Fasa 2 pada tahun 2010
- Blok B 17 dan C 19 – Operasi bermula suku ke tiga 2009.

Sebab itulah BN berusaha sangat merampas semula Kelantan kerana tidak mahu royalti GAS ASLI ini digunakan oleh Kerajaan PAS membangunkan Kelantan sehingga mengakibatkan Kelantan semakin pesat membangun dan membuat mustahil bagi BN untuk merampas Kelantan semula.

BERAPA BANYAK ROYALTI GAS ASLI YANG MENJADI HAK RAKYAT KELANTAN

Apabila semua telaga-telaga GAS ASLI ini beroperasi Royalti GAS ASLI yang akan diterima rakyat Kelantan ialah bernilai RM1,000,000,000 (RM1 Billion). Sebab itulah BN mahu perampas Kelantan sebelum telaga-telaga GAS ASLI ini mula beroperasi.

ROYALTI GAS ASLI HAK RAKYAT KELANTAN

PAS komited dan akan memperjuangkan habis-habisan bersama rakyat Kelantan untuk mendapatkan royalti GAS ASLI ini. Jika BN merampas Kelantan, royalti GAS ASLI tidak akan menjadi milik rakyat Kelantan dan rakyat Kelantan akan menerima nasib yang sama seperti Terengganu. Terengganu menikmati royalti minyak dan GAS ASLI sebanyak RM1.2 billion setahun di dalam bentuk wang ehsan.

Wang Ehsan tidak diberi kepada kerajaan Terengganu tetapi disalurkan kepada orang tertentu seperti Patrick Lim untuk digunakan untuk projek seperti Monsoon Cup dan Pembinaan Taman Islam Hadhari yang tidak mendatangkan hasil terus kepada rakyat Terengganu.

Jika BN memerintah, rakyat akan terus hidup dibelenggu kemiskinan dan ekonomi negeri akan semakin teruk seperti di Terengganu.

Walaupun menerima RM1.2 billion setahun, rakyat Terengganu lebih miskin dari rakyat Kelantan.

Hutang tertunggak Terengganu, lebih RM300 juta sedangkan hutang tertunggak Kelantan semenjak pemerintahan PAS hanya tinggal kurang RM12 juta.

Kalau laporan ini betul, memang kayalah negeri Kelantan.

BN P. PINANG TIDAK BALAS DENDAM?

Sebenarnya, Pak Cipan bukan minat sangat dengan politik tetapi kenyataan Ketua Pembangkang Pulau Pinang (yang baru - tahniah ya!) membuat kenyataan seperti budak darjah 4 yang dalam keadaan stress.

Ketua Pembangkang ingin memohon kepada Kerajaan Persekutuan untuk memberhentikan peruntukan kewangan dan membiarkan kerajaan negeri mencari dana sendiri. "ini bukan balas dendam..." katanya. Jika ini yang dimahukan oleh rakyat biarlah rakyat yang mencari dana sendiri.

Tak sangka, setelah lama dalam politik dan pentadbiran negeri, kenyataan tak cukup zat sebegini yang keluar dari mulut beliau. Dan, ini bukan yang pertama dilakukan oleh UMNO...... Pak Cipan ulang lagi.... UMNO!

18 tahun Kelantan menerima nasib yang sama dan Terengganu juga mengalami nasib sama dahulu. Ini bukan balas dendam? Jika bukan, ini adalah kerana mereka takut Kelantan akan lebih maju dari negeri di bawah BN. Peruntukan kerajaan persekutuan disalurkan kepada Jabatan Pembangunan Persekutuan yang sebenarnya digunakan untuk kempen politik sahaja. Tunjukkan kepada saya projek pembangunan oleh Jabatan Pembangunan Persekutuan!!!!

Ketua Pembangkang Pulau Pinang tidak sedar bahawa kerajaan persekutuan bertanggungjawab membantu kerajaan negeri bukan menyusahkan kerajaan negeri. Malah, beliau menghukum orang yang mengundi BN dalam pilihanraya lalu. Ini kerana, yang menerima kesannya adalah penyokong BN juga. Bukankah tidak cerdik membuat saranan sebegitu.

Malang bagi orang sebegini. Saya harap, negeri-negeri yang berada di bawah pembangkang akan merasa seperti mana Kelantan rasa. Yang menjadi rebutan oleh orang BN bukan sahaja kuasa, malah duit yang akan terkeluar dari poket mereka. Selamat menjadi Ketua Pembangkang YB Azhar Ibrahim.

Pak Cipan tak ingat siapa yang menghantar email ni lama dahulu bersama dengan kebaikan petai. Tapi bacalah untuk mengetahui khasiat tauge.

Menu tauge untuk hidangan makan tengah hari mahupun makan malam sering kali dipandang sebelah mata oleh kebanyakan kita. Tauge dilihat sebagai hidangan yang langsung tidak menyelerakan.

Tapi tahukah anda, tauge yang kerap kali menjadi pilihan terakhir untuk dijadikan syaur ini sebenarnya mempunyai banyak khasiat. Tauge dikatakan mampu menyumbang kepada kesuburan lelaki dan wanita.Pengambilan tauge oleh kaum lelaki mampu membuatkan sperma yang dihasilkan oleh golongan ini makin baik. Begitu juga wanita, ia cukup berkesan membantu kesuburan telur yang dihasilkan.

Well, I don't know if this is true or not... but the writer claimed this is a true story.....

No matter the taxi driver is chinese,malay or indian, PLEASE BE AWARE!If you notice that there is a sound of spray of perfume or air purifier inside the taxi, PLEASE GET DOWN from the TAXI IMMEDIATELY! !

It just happened to me just now. It was about 12.45 am. I got into a taxidriven by a malay man. I was in the taxi for a few minutes, I suddenly heard of a sound of spray and there was a smell like air purifier. I feltweird as to why the driver put two types of air purifiers in his taxi.The smell immediately reminded me about this forwarded email that I read. I started to be aware of my surroundings. But the puff of thepurifier kept appears every few minutes. I was very worried and scared.

Gradually, I sensed that my body started to feel weaker and weaker. Thepurifier kept puffing from the back seat, just right behind me. As I really felt my whole body is weaken, I asked the driver to let me get down atthe side road. But he kept trying to talk to me and ask me why not droppingme off at my destination. I think he was trying to drag the time. To my horror, I felt both of my hands and legs got numbed and no energy, almostcould not move.

When I talked to the driver, I could not even speak properly, not to say toshout for help, 'cos I was really too weak... Immediately, I opened the door and ran to passer-by for help.

I really thank God for saving me. If not, I really can't imagine what wouldhave happened to me. I am traumatised by this incident.

"Please be aware when aboard to a taxi, especially the ladies." Ireceived an email some months ago about a lady getting into a cab and felt uneasy and become faint when she smelt something like incense beingburnt. She was smart enough to order the taxi to stop immediately and afterthrowing some money at the taxi man quickly get out of the taxi. She later got to know that if she had not stopped the taxi and gotten out, shewould have fainted and raped by the taxi man (or a gang of rapists)!

After reading this, I thought maybe this was one of those emails that youwould read and just forget about it, but I was wrong!

Few weeks ago, a visitor to our Chinese church who stayed in Puchonggot into a taxi driven by an Indian man. When she sat into the taxi, there was a little burner and she could smell incense burning in the taxi.

After awhile, she felt weak and unable to speak or shout. The Indian taxi mandrove to a lonely road where there was hardly anyone and raped her.

Before she was completely knocked out, she was told by the taxi guy that shewas his number six victim. She was not only raped but also robbed! When she was conscious again, she quickly went to see a doctor. The sad thing is, thedoctor knew she was raped but did not advise her what to do.The doctor just let her make the decision to make or not to make apolice report. Since she does not know the rapist name and also the taxi number and in great fear after this trauma, she told the doctor that shewould not dare to report to the police. The doctor said since she darenot make the report, he would just have to destroy the medical report! Because the rapist took her whole bag with her ID in it, he got her addressand even has the guts to come straight to her house and try to be funny withher.Please remember not to get into a taxi that smells funny and if possible don't get into a taxi alone, and if you have to do so, give a call or smsback to your friends or relatives and let them know the taxi registrationnumber and if possible, the name of the taxi man. AND OPEN THE WINDOW!

RIBENA ADA KANDUNGAN ARAK

LONDON : Pemimpin Islam di Birmingham menggesa diadakan rombakan menyeluruh dalam undang-undang pengguna selepas kemunculan berita menggemparkan bahawa dua minuman ringan kegemaran mengandungi arak. Birmingham Post semalam melaporkan ramai peniaga membuang stok Ribena dan Lucozade selepas pengguna mendapati ramuan perisa air minuman
itu mengandungi arak meskipun pada paras yang rendah. Peraturan makanan tidak mensyaratkan pengeluar produk itu, Glaxo-SmithKline menyenaraikan arak pada bungkusan minuman itu kerana kandungan arak itu pada! kadar yang rendah.

Bagaimanapun, umat Islam yang diharamkan daripada meminum arak mendakwa semua minuman ringan seharusnya dilabelkan dengan jelas jika ada ramuan yang bercampur arak meskipun amat sedikit. Empat tahun lalu, Walkers sebuah syarikat makanan, menukar label pada bungkusan kerepeknya selepas akhbar Birmingham Post mendedahkan snek keju dan bawangnya mengandungi ekstrak lembu tidak sembelih. Kandungan arak dalam Ribenadan Lucozade adalah kurang daripada 0.1 peratus tetapi umat Islam memberitahu Birmingham Post bahawa mereka kecewa selepas mengetahui bahawa mereka sejak sekian lama meminum arak meskipun pada paras yang teramat rendah. Pengerusi Masjid Jamik Birmingham, Dr Mohammed Naseem menyuarakan
rasa terkejutnya kerana undang-undang itu masih membenarkan kandungan dalam makanan atau minuman tidak dinyatakan dengan jelas pada label. "Kita amat kecewa kerana sebelum ini umat Islam menganggap minuman ringan seperti Ribena dan Lucozade ini halal tetapi sebaliknya," katanya. Pekedai yang juga anggota Persatuan Peniaga Ladypool, Mohammed Zaman Khan berkata penjualan Ribena dan Lucozade jatuh mendadak sejak beberapa minggu lalu dan beliau memastikan produk itu tiada pada rak kedainya.

Jurucakap Glaxo-SmithKline memberi alasan label minuman dan makanan pasti tidak dapat dibaca jika peraturan mensyaratkan semua komponen bagi penyediaan makanan itu dinyatakan. "Sesetengah bahan perasa mengandungi lebih 50 komponen. Kami amat sensitif dengan keperluan budaya pengguna dan cuba menangani isu itu jika ia dimaklumkan kepada kami,"
katanya.

PETALING JAYA: The publisher of Herald - The Catholic Weekly has filed a writ of summons and a statement of claim in the Kuala Lumpur High Court to seek appropriate declarations of the use of the word "Allah".

The publisher said in a statement released Thursday that the Internal Security Ministry had issued a series of directives to the publisher to cease the use of the word "Allah" in the weekly.

The publisher also said that if they failed to do so, the publication’s permit would either be suspended or revoked.

“We have decided to have our legal position to use the word determined by the courts,” the statement said.

The weekly’s editor Reverend Father Lawrence Andrew said that the writ was filed on Dec 5.

The 13-year-old paper, which carries reports about the Catholic community in English, Malay, Tamil and Chinese, has a circulation of 12,000 for its members.

Sdn Bhd dan Tesco sebagai defendan pertama, kedua dan ketiga dalam saman
yang difailkan menerusi Tetuan M K Othman & Co di Pejabat Pendaftaran
Mahkamah Tinggi Jalan Duta, di sini.

Beliau dalam tuntutannya memohon ganti rugi khas, termasuk kos pembelian
ayam, kos perbelanjaan makan dan minum bagi pertemuannya dengan wakil dari
Perak Duck Food Industries Sdn Bhd dan kos bagi menghadiri pemeriksaan di
Bahagian Hab Halal Jabatan Agama Islam Malaysia (Jakim) di Cyberjaya.

Selain itu, beliau juga menuntut menghadiri pemeriksaan di Persatuan
Pengguna Islam (PPIM) di Keramat di sini dan kos untuk menghadiri
pemeriksaan di Jabatan Agama Islam Perak di Ipoh yang semuanya bernilai RM1,
375.77.

Zainuddin juga memohon defendan untuk membayar ganti rugi am, ganti rugi
teruk dan ganti rugi teladan yang bernilai RM5 juta kerana defendan pertama
dan kedua berlaku khianat dengan membekalkan makanan berlogo halal kepada
semua umat Islam.

Di samping itu, beliau turut memohon mahkamah untuk menghalang ketiga-tiga
defendan untuk menjual, mengedar, memasar atau menyebabkan produk itu berada
di pasaran.

Plaintif juga meminta mahkamah mengarahkan ketiga-tiga defendan memohon
maaf kepada semua umat Islam di negara ini berterusan selama tiga hari di
muka hadapan akhbar utama bahasa Melayu dengan menanggung segala kos
perbelanjaan.

Dalam writ saman berkenaan, beliau juga mendakwa defendan pertama gagal
memastikan keadaan ayam yang dihasilkan tidak disembelih mengikut Syara' dan
tidak prihatin serta sensitif kepada kehendak umat Islam.

Defendan kedua pula didakwa secara cuai menyelia pengeluaran produk yang
berlogo halal pada bungkusan itu, manakala defendan ketiga gagal melakukan
sebarang pemeriksaan bagi memastikan keselamatan halal produk itu sebelum
dipasarkan.

"Pada 28 Oktober tahun lalu saya membeli tiga ayam selasih di Tesco dan
mendapati ayam yang dilabelkan logo halal tidak disembelih dengan betul
mengikut prosedur penyembelihan.

"Sangkaan saya ternyata betul apabila PPIM mengesahkan ayam yang dibeli
tidak halal kerana urat leher ayam yang disembelih itu tidak putus,"
katanya.

1. He bought his first share at age 11 and he now regrets that he started too late!

2. He bought a small farm at age 14 with savings from delivering newspapers.

3. He still lives in the same small 3-bedroom house in mid-town Omaha , that he bought after he got married 50 years ago. He says that he has everything he needs in that house. His house does not have a wall or a fence.

4. He drives his own car everywhere and does not have a driver or security people around him.

5. He never travels by private jet, although he owns the world's largest private jet company.

6. His company, Berkshire Hathaway, owns 63 companies. He writes only one letter each year to the CEOs of these companies, giving them goals for the year. He never holds meetings or calls them on a regular basis. He has given his CEO's only two rules. Rule number 1: do not lose any of your share holder's money. Rule number 2: Do not forget rule number 1.

7. He does not socialize with the high society crowd. His past time after he gets home is to make himself some pop corn and watch Television.

'strawberry quick' - A New Danger in Schools

There is a very scary thing going on in the schools right now that we all need to be aware of.....
There is a type of crystal meth going around that looks like strawberry pop rocks (the candy that sizzles and 'pops' in your mouth). It also smells like strawberry and it is being handed out to kids in school yards . They are calling it strawberry meth or strawberry quick.
Kids are ingesting this thinking that it is candy and being rushed off to emergency in dire condition. It also comes in chocolate, peanut butter, cola, cherry, grape and orange.
Please instruct your children to not accept candy from strangers and even not to accept candy that looks like this from a friend (who may have been given it and believe it is candy) and to take any that they may have to a teacher, principal, etc. immediately.
Pass this email on to as many people as you can (even if they don't have kids) so that we can raise awareness and hopefully prevent any tragedies from occurring.

The latest tactic used by robbers to stop you while driving and to rob, rape or slash you has come to my attention after a friend of mine was trapped in this situation. I got this email warning others about latest tactic robbers use to hijack your car:

LATEST CASE
My good friend was driving along Kesas Highway with his wife just after Plaza Tol Puchong towards Kajang last Sunday 23rd December at around 11 pm after attending a dinner function at his relative's house in Bandar Sunway.

Suddenly, a motorbike overtook them and the pillion rider threw 2 eggs towards his car windscreen. Within seconds, his whole windscreen was smeared with the messy broken eggs. His immediate reflex action was to turn on the windscreen wipers which quickly covered the whole surface and blurred his vision. So he immediately slowed his car and brought it to a halt along the emergency lane.

Then he got out of his car and was trying to wipe and wash the windscreen while his wife was seated inside the car. All of a sudden a Proton Satria stopped behind his car and 3 guys came running towards him with Samurai swords screaming at him to surrender his car and wallet.

Luckily my friend, who is attached to the police CID, managed to pull his gun out and fire two warning shots in the air. The 3 guys ran helter skelter back into their car and drove off at a very high speed. He called up for assistance and was told the getaway car had a false number plate.

Apparently, this tactic has been used quite often in the latest string of road side robberies especially with lady drivers or men driving alone or with women and small children. So please, should you encounter such a situation, REMEMBER to make sure:
1) Not to turn on your car windscreen wipers.
2) Continue driving, with whatever available vision, to the nearest petrol station, police station, 7 Eleven store or any other crowded or brightly lit place to attract attention.

WORST VIRUS EVER --- CNN ANNOUNCED

A new virus has just been discovered that has been classified by Microsoft
as the most destructive ever. This virus was discovered yesterday afternoon
by McAfee . This vir us simply destroys Sector Zero from the hard disk,
where vital information for its functioning are stored.

This virus acts in the following manner:
It sends itself automatically to all contacts on your list with the title: *
'A Card for You'. *

As soon as the supposed virtual card is opened the computer freezes so
that the user has to reboot. When the ctrl+alt+ del keys or the reset button
are pressed, the virus destroys Sector Zero, thus permanently destroying the
hard disk. Yesterday in just a few hours this virus caused panic in New York
, according to news broadcast by CNN

This alert was received by an employee of Microsoft itself.

Tips on PETROL SAVING

1. Fill up your car or truck in the morning when the temperature is still cool. Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground; and the colder the ground, the denser the gasoline.
When it gets warmer gasoline expands, so if you're filling up in the afternoon or in the evening, what should be a gallon is not exactly a gallon. In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and temperature of the fuel (gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum
products) are significant. Every truckload that we load is temperature-compensated so that the indicated gallon age is actually the amount pumped.. A one-degree rise in temperature is a big deal for businesses, but service stations don't have temperature compensation at their pumps.

2. If a tanker truck is filling the station's tank at the time you want to buy gas, do not fill up; most likely dirt and sludge in the tank is being stirred up when gas is being delivered, and you might be transferring that dirt from the bottom of their tank into your car's tank.

3. Fill up when your gas tank is half-full (or half-empty), because the more gas you have in your tank the less air there is and gasoline evaporates rapidly, especially when it's warm. (Gasoline storage tanks have an internal floating 'roof' membrane to act as a barrier between the gas and the atmosphere, thereby minimizing evaporation.)

4. If you look at the trigger you'll see that it has three delivery
settings: slow, medium and high. When you're filling up do not squeeze the trigger of the nozzle to the high setting. You should be pumping at the slow setting, thereby minimizing vapors created while you are pumping. Hoses at the pump are corrugated; the corrugations act as a return path for vapor recovery from gas that already has been metered.
If you are pumping at the high setting, the agitated gasoline contains more vapors, which is being sucked back into the underground tank, so you're getting less gas for your money.

Pencinta keadilan diminta hadiri perhimpunan 10 November

Pelbagai lapisan masyarakat yang cintakan keadilan diminta hadir pada perhimpunan rakyat di Dataran Merdeka 10 November ini bagi menuntut pilihan raya adil dan bersih.

Perhimpunan itu dianjur Gabungan Menuntut Pilihan raya Bersih dan Adil (Bersih) yang menggalakkan orang ramai hadir dengan memakai kemeja berwarna kuning

Naib Presiden PAS, Datoâ€™ Husam Musa berkata, golongan muda disaran tampil menyertai perhimpunan itu bagi menyatakan sokongan terhadap usaha menuntut pilihan raya adil dan bebas di negara ini.

Memandangkan Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya (SPR) sudah lari dari tanggungjawab yang sebenar, maka himpunan aman untuk menyatakan rasa tidak puas tersebut perlu diadakan segera.

Diharap program itu mencapai matlamat bagi menuntut hak dan menyatakan rasa tidak puas hati terhadap badan terbabit dan kerajaan,â€ katanya ketika ditemui selepas majlis ramah mesra dengan masyarakat Cina di Kampung Cina, dekat sini baru-baru ini.

MYANMAR: Fear of torture and ill treatment of detainees

A Solidarity vigil will be held this Friday night, in support of Burma’s people, who are unable to exercise their fundamental rights in their country, and to express our opposition towards the Burma military junta’s bloody crackdown on protestors.

There are now reports filing in, that hundreds have been killed and some 6,000 people are being held at various detention facilities. Thousands of monks have been forcibly defrocked and are believed to be on their way to the military junta’s deadly labour camps.

The vigil is an initiative of civil society organisations, including Amnesty International Malaysia, Suara Rakyat Malaysia (SUARAM), Civil Rights Committee of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall (KLSCAH-CRC) and Youth For Change (Y4C): Friday Night, 5 October 2007, 8 p.m. at KLCC Entrance nearest to Menara Maxis, opposite Avenue K. I would like to express my concern about the reports that hundreds of monks and other peaceful protesters, including well-known comedian Zargana and Member of Parliament Paik Ko have been detained.

I call on the authorities to release them immediately and unconditionally, unless they are to be charged with recognisably criminal offences.

I also call on the authorities to ensure that, while they remain in custody, all the detainees are held only in official places of detention, and are given immediate access to lawyers, their families and any medical treatment they may require.

Two or three weeks back, a fellow IMer, David Cavanagh reported that his Google GMail account got hacked somehow and taken over by someone who went through the emails and changed the logins for a bunch of his other accounts, and generally caused a TON of damage. He said that Google wasn't very helpful in the matter.

Well, I've just come across a GMail vulnerability alert that everybody with a
GMail account needs to read: http://www.thetoolwiz.com/HotPicks/GMailHacked2

It seems Google has now discovered a way that people can take over your GMail account without your knowledge or permission just by you visiting a web site with a tiny bit of javascript that's run inside your browser while you're logged into your GMail account.

The Good News is they've fixed this little vulnerability. But ... it does nothing if
someone as already gotten into your account this way!

Apparently, they don't think it's important enough to bother telling their users,
either. Did you get an email from them about this? I sure didn't!

In short, get into your GMail account RIGHT NOW and check your SETTINGS | FILTERS and see if there are any there that you don't recognize. If so, delete them and change your password IMMEDIATELY!

As a general rule, I never forward stuff to my friends, and I don't normally advise it either. But in this particular case, it might be a good idea if you DO FORWARD THIS TO YOUR FRIENDS.

It's a simple thing for Google to send out an alert to their customers. But like many big companies, they hate calling attention to their own shortcomings. And besides, there's probably something buried in their Terms Of Service that say they're not responsible for monitoring or even informing you of problems in their system they may have created.

These are from my PayPal Debit Card account, and they showed up without my knowledge or authorization. I posted something in a forum, and since then nearly a dozen other people have reported almost identical transactions in one of their accounts. The common denominators thus far are:

* PayPal Debit cards or virtual cards
* WaMu Debit Cards
* people with accounts at RegisterFly and/or GoDaddy
* people who've used a wireless connection to purchase something recently, particularly in or around certain hotels, including wireless access at hotels

If you find one of these charges on any account, dispute it immediately with your card service provider.

Note that the amounts being charged to TM NETGAMES have varied from $13 to $19, while the ones to MTC TOUCH have all been right around $41.

See-through frogs - kesiannya!

Japanese researchers have succeeded in producing see-through frogs, letting them observe organs, blood vessels and eggs under the skin without performing dissections.

"You can see through the skin how organs grow, how cancer starts and develops," said the lead researcher Masayuki Sumida, professor at the Institute for Amphibian Biology of state-run Hiroshima University.

"You can watch organs of the same frog over its entire life as you don't have to dissect it. The researcher can also observe how toxins affect bones, livers and other organs at lower costs," he told AFP.

Dissections have become increasingly controversial in much of the world, particularly in schools where animal rights activists have pressed for humane alternatives such as using computer simulations.

Sumida said his team, which announced the research last week at an academic conference, had created the first transparent four-legged creature, although some small fish are also see-through.

The researchers produced the creature from rare mutants of the Japanese brown frog, or Rena japonica, whose backs are usually ochre or brown.

Two kinds of recessive genes have been known to cause the frog to be pale.

Sumida's team crossed two frogs with recessive genes through artificial insemination and the offspring looked normal due to the presence of more powerful genes. But crossing the offspring led to a frog whose skin is transparent from the tadpole stage.

"You can see dramatic changes of organs when tadpoles mutate into frogs," said Sumida, whose team is seeking a patent.

Such frogs could theoretically exist in the wild but it is "virtually impossible" they would naturally inherit so many recessive genes, Sumida said.

The transparent frogs can also reproduce, with their offspring inheriting their parents' traits, but their grandchildren die shortly after birth.

"As they have two sets of recessive genes, something wrong must kick in and kill them," Sumida said.

While the researchers relied on artificial insemination, they said that genetic engineering could also produce transparent and even illuminating frogs.

Sumida said researchers could also inject into the transparent frogs an illuminating protein attached to a gene, which would light up the gene once it manifests -- for example, showing at what stage cancer starts.

Sumida said it would be unrealistic to apply the same method to mammals such as mice as their skin structure is different.

Legal Issue on Contract Law in Malaysia - Good for us to know Do you notice that most of the time, the receipt / invoice you received from the merchant carries this exclusion clause or similarly worded statement: "Goods sold are not returnable" or "No refund once sold". Please remember that : "As long as your goods is purchased for home use and not for business (i.e. to be resold), the above exclusion clause is VOID. That means, as long as the good is defective, regardless of what is worded, you CAN get back all your money spent . You do not have to accept a repair on the good or an exchange.

You CAN ask for a refund. AND you are LEGALLY right and entitled to! And most of the time the merchant will refuse to return you your money. Kesukarelawanan dalam masyarakat industri

Dalam masyarakat industri dan paid economy, kerja sukarela berkembang dengan pesat sekali. Ini disebabkan masyarakat tersebut mempunyai satu sumber yang penting iaitu sumber kewangan dan masa. Ini merupakan salah satu faedah kepada masyarakat apabila ekonomi berkembang baik. Pengurangan beban yang yang ditanggung oleh masyarakat membolehkan mereka melibatkan diri dalam kerja sukarela.

Walaupun begitu, terdapat satu lagi masalah dalam masyarakat industri yang memberi faedah kepada kesukarelawanan iaitu pencarian spiritual dan jati diri masyarakatnya. Untuk itu, masyarakatnya melibatkan diri dalam kerja kebajikan dan kesukarelawanan. Kerja sukarela menyediakan peluang kepada mereka untuk mengenali diri sendiri disamping mengenali diri orang lain.

Pada masa dahulu, kerja tolong-menolong sangat rapat dan berkaitan dengan pembangunan komuniti. Ia merupakan sebahagian daripada kehidupan mereka, saling membantu pertanian, keselamatan dan sosialisasi. Dalam Islam, ia berpusat kepada membantu golongan miskin, jiran dan saudara mara. Ia berkembang selaras dengan perkembangan masyarakat dan negara.

Kerja sukarela dalam masyarakat industri biasanya adalah tentang:

1. kerja kebajikan iaitu membuat kerja yang baik untuk orang lain. Sesetengan oran percaya bahawa membuat perkara baik akan dibalas dengan perkara yang baik juga. Selain itu, kerja kebajikan seperti ini akan menjadikan seseorang itu lebih baik disamping membantu golongan yang memerlukan.

2. memenuhi ruang yang tidak dapat dipenuhi oleh sektor lain. Kerajaan tidak mampu untuk membantu dalam semua hal. Sementara sumber yang terhad dari segi tenaga dan kewangan membolehkan sukarelawan memenuhi ruang tersebut.

3. tanggungjawab untuk membantu orang yang memerlukannya. Kesukarelawanan juga membantu membangunkan negara-bangsa. Ia dianggap sebagai pengorbanan setiap warganegara untuk membangunkan masyarakat dan negara. Kita biasa melihat situasi sebegini semasa peperangan dan bantuan kecemasan.

4. pergerakan sosial yang melibatkan ahli masyarakat dalam isu-isu keadilan, moral, sosialisasi, keamanan, alam sekitar, persamaan hak dan sebagainya. Kerja sukarela membentuk masyarakat yang dinamik – yang sentiasa berubah kearah yang lebih baik. Penglibatan ahli masyarakat dan menyelesaikan masalah masyarakat turut membentuk wargenagara yang bertanggungjawab.

5. penglibatan golongan remaja-belia. Golongan muda yang sentiasa mencari keseronokan menjadikan kerja sukarela sebagai aktiviti alternatif untuk mengisi masa lapang. Ia juga merupakan sebahagian daripada persediaan untuk melangkah ke alam dewasa. Mungkin juga kerja sukarela merupakan salah satu penyelesaian kepada penglibatan golongan muda dalam jenayah dan masalah social.

Masyarakat industri yang berkembang dari segi kemodenan dan ekonomi membolehkan ahli masyarakat melibatkan diri dalam kerja sukarela. Dan, masalah yang wujud dalam masyarakat industri juga menggalakkan ahlinya untuk bersukarela. Ini berlaku apabila mereka merasakan sektor-sektor terlibat gagal atau tidak mampu untuk melakukan perubahan.

Masalah seperti alam sekitar dan gejala sosial menyebabkan ahli masyarakat melibatkan diri untuk membantu menyelesaikannya. Semakin banyak masalah yang timbul, semakin ramai yang ingin membantu. Ini merupakan perkara yang baik untuk kerja sukarela dan baik juga untuk pembangunan masyarakat dan negara. Masyarakat yang semakin moden mewujudkan masalah baru dan akan ada sukarelawan baru yang muncul.

Walaupun sesetengah pihak berpendapat bahawa kerja sukarela merupakan pilihan kepada sesiapa yang ingin melibatkan diri, ada pula pihak lain berpendapat bahawa kerja sukarela merupakan satu tanggungjawab setiap warganegara. Ini kerana, setiap orang yang memerlukan bantuan, berhak untuk mendapatkan bantuan. Mengharapkan pihak kerajaan untuk menyediakan semuanya bukanlah jalan penyelesaian tetapi penglibatan dan bantuan dari setiap ahli masyarakat merupakan jalan yang terbaik.

Di negara kita organisasi sukarela diletakkan dalam sektor ketiga dan sering dikaitkan dengan kerja kebajikan tetapi sumbangannya terhadap mayarakat dan negara tidak perlu dipertikaikan. Pun begitu, kerja sukarela masih dianggap kerja sampingan yang hanya dibuat mengikut kelapangan atau secara bermusim. Ini menyebabkan kerja sukarela itu lambat untuk berkembang seiring dengan perkembangan pesat kemodenan negara.

Pak Cipan menerima satu email tentang pengalaman pelancong Indonesia ke Malaysia! Tajuk email tersebut adalah "Malaysia Memang Bangsat"

"Nama saya Budiman Bachtiar Harsa, 37 tahun,WNI asal Banten, karyawan di BUMN berkantor di Jakarta.

Kasus pemukulan wasit Donald Peter di Malaysia, BUKAN kejadian pertama. Behubung sdr Donald adalah seorang "Tamu Negara" hingga kasusnya terexpose besar-besaran.
Padahal kasus serupa sering menimpa WNI di Malaysia. BUKAN HANYA TKI Atau Pendatang Haram, tapi juga WISATAWAN.

Tahun 2006, bulan Juni, saya dan keluarga (istri, 2 anak, adik ipar), pertama kalinya kami "melancong" ke Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. (Kami sudah pernah berwisata ke negara2 lain, sudah biasa dengan berbagai aturan imigrasi). Hari pertama dan kedua tour bersama Travel agent ke Genting Highland, berjalan lancar, kaluarga bahagia anak-anak gembira.

Hari ketiga city tour di KL, juga berjalan normal. Malam harinya, kami mengunjungi KLCC yang ternyata sangat dekat dari Hotel Nikko, tempat kami menginap. Usai makan malam, berbelanja sedikit, adik ipar dan anak-anak saya pulang ke hotel karena kelelahan, menumpang shuttle service yang disediakan Nikko Hotel. Saya dan istri berniat berjalan-jalan, menikmati udara malam seperti yg biasa kami lakukan di Orchrad Singapore, toh kabarnya KL cukup aman. Mengambil jalan memutar, pukul 22.30, di dekat HSC medical, lapangan dengan view cukup bagus ke arah Twin Tower.

Saat berjalan santai, tiba2 sebuah mobil Proton berhenti, 2 pria turun mendekati saya dan istri. Mereka tiba-tiba meminta identitas saya dan istri, saya balas bertanya apa mau mereka. Mereka bilang "Polis", memperlihatkan kartu sekilas, lalu saya jelaskan saya Turis, menginap di Nikko hotel. Mereka memaksa minta passport, yang TIDAK saya bawa. (Masak sih di negeri tetangga, sesama melayu, speak the same language, saya dan istri bisa berbahasa inggris, negara yg tak butuh visa, kita masih harus bawa passport?). Salah satu "polis" ini bicara dengan HT, entah apa yg mereka katakan dengan logat melayunya, sementara seorang rekannya tetap memaksa saya mengeluarkan identitas. Perliaku mereka mulai tak sopan dan Istri saya mulai ketakutan. Saya buka
dompet, keluarkan KTP. Sambil melotot, dia tanya :"kerja ape kau disini?" saya melongo... kan turis, wisata. Ya jalan-jalan aja lah, gitu saya jawab. Pak polis membentak dan mendekatkan mukanya ke wajah saya: KAU KERJA APE? Punya Licence buat kerja?

Wah kali dia pikir saya TKI ilegal. Saya coba tetap tenang, saya bilang saya bekerja di Jakarta, ke KL untuk wisata. Tiba-tiba salah satu dari mereka mencoba memegang tas istri, dan bilang: "mana kunci Hotel? "... wah celakanya kunci 2 kamar kami dibawa anak dan ipar saya yg pulang duluan ke hotel.

Saya ajak mereka ke hotel yang tak jauh dari lokasi kami. Namun pak Polis malah makin marah, memegangi tangan saya, sambil bilang: Indon... dont lie to us. Saya kurung kalian...

Jelas saya menolak dan mulai marah. Saya ajak mereka ke hotel Nikko, dan saya bilang akan tuntut mereka habis2an. sambil memegangi tangan saya, tuan polis meludah kesamping, dan bilang: kalian semua sama saja...

Saat itu sebuah mobil polisi lainnya datang, pake logo polisi, seorang polisi berseragam mendekat. Di dadanya tertulis nama: Rasheed.

Saya merapat ke pagar taman sambil memegang istri yang mulai menangis. Melawan 3 polis, tak mungkin. Mereka berbicara beritga, mirip berunding. Wah, apa polis
malaysia juga sama aja, perlu mau nyari kesalahan orang ujung2nya merampok?

Petugas berseragam lalu mendekati saya, meminta kami untuk tetap tenang. Saya bertanya, apa 2 orang preman melayu itu polisi, lalu polisi berseragam itu
mengiyakan. Rupanya karena saya mempertanyakan dirinya, sang preman marah dan mendekati saya, mencengkram leher jaket saya, dan siap memukul, namun dicegah polisi berseragam.

Polisi berseragam mengajak saya kembali ke Hotel untuk membuktikan identitas diri. saya langsung setuju, namun keberatan bila harus menumpang mobil polisi. Saya minta untuk tetap berjalan kaki menuju Nikko Hotel, dan mereka boleh mengiringi tapi tak boleh menyentuh kami. Akhirnya kami bersepakat, namun polisi preman yang sempat hampir memukul saya sempat berkata: if those indon run, just shoot them... katanya sambil menunjuk istri saya. Saya cuma bisa istigfar saat itu, ini rupanya nasib orang Indonesia di negeri tetangga yang sering kita banggakan sebagai "sesama melayu".

Diantar polisi berseragam saya tiba di Nikko Hotel. Saya minta resepsionis mencocokan identitas kami, dan saya menelpon adik ipar untuk membawakan kunci. Pihak Nikko melarang adik saya, dan mengatakan kepada sang Polis, bahwa saya adalah tamu hotel mereka, WNI yang menyewa suites family, datang ke Malaysia dengan Business class pada Flight Malayasia Airlines.

Pak Polis preman mendadak ramah, mencoba menjelaskan bahwa di Malaysia mereka harus selalu waspada. Saya tak mau bicara apapun dan mengatakan bahwa saya sangat tersinggung, dan akan mengadukan kasus ini, dan "membatalkan rencana bisnis dengan sejumlah rekan di malaysia" (padahal saya tak punya rekan bisnis di negeri sial ini).

Polisi berseragam berusaha tersenyum semanis mungkin, berusaha keras untuk akrab dan ramah, petugas Nikko Hotel kelimpungan dan berusaha membuat kami tersenyum. Setelah istri saya mulai tenang, saya mengambil HP P9901 saya dan merekam wajah kedua polisi ini. Keduanya berusaha menutupi wajah, meminta saya untuk tidak merekam wajah mereka.
Istri saya minta kita mengakhiri konflik ini, dan saya pun lelah. Kami tinggalkan melayu-melayu keparat ini, tanpa berjabat tangan.

Sepanjang malam saya sangat gusar, dan esoknya kami membatalkan tur ke Johor baru, mengontak travel agent agar mencari seat ke Singapore. Siang usai makan siang, saya tinggalkan Malaysia dengan perasaan dongkol, dan melanjutkan liburan di Singapore.

Mungkin saya sial? ya. Mungkin saya hanya 1 dari 1000 WNI yang apes di Malaysia? bisa. Tapi saya catat bahwa bila saya pernah dihina, diancam, bahkan hampir
dipukuli, bukan tak mungkin masih ada orang lain mengalami hal yg sama.

Jadi, kalau hendak berlibur di Malaysia, sebaiknya pikir masak2. Jangankan turis, Rombongan atlet saja bisa dihajar polisi Malaysia. Bayangkan bila perlakuan seperti ini dilakukan dihadapan anak kita. Tentu anak akan trauma, sekaligus sedih.

Hati-hati pada PROMOSI WISATA MALAYSIA. Di Malaysia, WNI diperlakukan seperti Kriminal."

Ini Komen Pak Cipan:

1. Mungkin Budiman Bachtiar tidak mengetahui bahawa negara 'sial' dan 'bangsat' inilah yang menjadi tumpuan para pendatang dari Indonesia, Nepal, Bangladesh, India, China dan lain-lain. Jika negara ini benar sebegitu, mengapa mereka datang ke sini? Mengapa tidak ke indonesia sahaja?

2. Mungkin Budiman Bachtiar tidak mengetahui bahawa, jenayah yang dilakukan oleh para pendatang Indonesia, Nepal, Bangladesh, India, China dan lain-lain semakin meningkat di negara 'sial' dan 'bangsat' ini. Mencuri, merompak, membunuh, merogol dan lain-lain semakin banyak dilakukan oleh para pendatang. Siapakah yang 'sial' dan 'bangsat' sebenarnya?

3. Mungkin Budiman Bachtiar tidak mengetahui bahawa jumlah pendatang haram Indonesia di Kuala Lumpur sahaja mencecah jutaan orang. Bayangkan masalah yang kami hadapi di negara 'sial' dan 'bangsat' ini.

4. Mungkin Budiman Bachtiar tidak mengetahui bahawa di Indonesia juga berlaku pembunuhan dan pengeboman oleh orang Melayu Indonesia terhadap orang Melayu Indonesia yang lain. Lihat sahaja apa yang berlaku di Bali dan Acheh.

5. Mungkin Budiman Bachtiar tidak mengetahui bahawa para pelancong perlu membawa pasport kemana sahaja. Bukankah itu yang paling penting ketika malancong walaupun tidak memerlukan visa.

6. Mungkin Budiman Bachtiar tidak mengetahui bahawa, bukan pelancong sahaja yang akan disoal oleh pihak berkuasa, orang tempatan juga akan disoal jika mereka menimbulkan syak.

7. Mungkin Budiman Bachtiar tidak mengetahui bahawa, 'melayu-melayu' keparat inilah yang menjaga keselamatan kami dari 'melayu-melayu keparat dari indonesia' yang melakukan jenayah merompak, membunuh dan sebagainya di negara yang dikatakan 'sial' dan 'bangsat' ini.

8. Mungkin Budiman Bachtiar tidak mengetahui bahawa dahulu Indonesia melancarkan konfrantasi terhadap Malaysia. Sanggup mereka berperang dengan sesama Melayu dan seagama dengan mereka.... tidakkah Budiman Bachtiar mengetahui tentang itu! Betapa malangnya Budiman Bachtiar datang ke negara bertuah ini... dan kami sebenarnya tidak mengalu-alukan kedatangan mereka ke sini.

NURIN JAZLIN BINTI JAZIMIN - brutally kidnapped, tortured and murder.

NST Report that Police have new leads in the murder of 8-year-old Nurin Jazlin Jazimin and are expected to make arrests soon.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan said this yesterday after DNA tests confirmed the body in the gym bag was Nurin.

Images taken from the closed-circuit television cameras near where Nurin’s body was dumped, have been digitally enhanced and police are now looking for a couple in a silver Perodua Kenari.

Sources disclosed that the woman captured on tape is a Malay in her 20s. The driver is also in his 20s. Footage showed a woman walking out of the entrance next to the book distribution company, where the bag was later found.

She was then seen getting into the car. Witnesses had also told police that they had seen awoman, matching the description of the person in the footage, sitting near the staircase with a “Diadora” sports bag beside her. She was seen on Sunday afternoon.

By evening, the woman was gone but not the bag. Its contents were discovered the next morning. Police are also looking into the possibility that the suspects are linked to two other sexual attacks of children in Kampung Baru recently.

“We believe the attacks were by the same person, meaning that a serial sexual predator is on the loose,”a source said. The three cases share similarities:

• The victims had either brinjals or cucumbers forced into their private parts.

• The proximity of the incidents. Nurin went missing on Aug 20 in Section 1, Wangsa Maju which is close to the earlier two cases in Kampung Baru.

Selangor and the city police have exchanged information on known paedophiles and serial sex offenders in the Klang Valley.

Meanwhile, Selangor police chief Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar said although the DNA tests carried out on the body proved it was Nurin, a second test would be conducted as Nurin’s parents were adamant the child was not their daughter.

“We are conducting a second DNA test. We will also take samples from Nurin’s elder sister, Nurin Jazshira.”

Khalid emphasised that the DNA testing had a 99.99 per cent accuracy. Police will interview the parents again.

Tidak seperti zaman Pak Cipan, pilihanraya kampus sekarang ini semakin parah. Kerajaan mahu membersihkan kampus dari politik tetapi hasilnya politik semakin kotor di kampus.

KUALA LUMPUR, 17 Sept (Hrkh) - Demam Pilihan raya kampus (PRK) kini terus melanda mahasiswa dengan beberapa tindakan agresif yang didakwa mula dimainkan oleh pihak bahagian Hal Ehwal Pelajar serta kumpulan mahasiswa yang menggelarkan diri mereka Aspirasi.

Terbaru di Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), beberapa insiden yang melibatkan mahasiswa pro-Barisan Mahasiswa Bersatu (BMB) yang menentang Aspirasi.

Menurut wakil BMB yang mengedarkan risalah insiden-insiden yang didakwa berlaku di kampus UPM,salah seorang mahasiswa mangsanya adalah Yee Yang Yang yang telah dirampas komputer riba, telefon bimbit, pendrive serta beberapa dokumen-dokumen penting.

Antara keterangan risalah yang diedarkan menyebut bahawa; kejadian tersebut didakwa dilakukan semasa satu sesi soal siasat yang dijalankan terhadap Yee Yang selama dua jam selepas dipanggil masuk ke bilik mesyuarat Kolej 13 oleh Pengetua dan Felo kolej, Mohd Fakhrurazi Mustapha serta tiga orang yang tidak dikenali selepas perjumpaan bersama pengetua kolej 13 berhubung kes kehilangan telefon bimbit.

Anehnya, semasa soal siasat tersebut, beliau telah disoal tentang Persatuan Bahasa Tionhua, BMB serta risalah-risalah berkaitan PRK.

Setelah itu, Yee Yang telah menghubungi Pengarah Jabatan Keselamatan, Mejar Othman Jailani yang mengesahkan bahawa tiada sebarang operasi dijalankan pada malam tersebut.

Risalah tersebut juga menyatakan bahawa pada keesokan harinya, mereka membuat laporan polis di Balai Polis Serdang.

Namun, setelah polis berhubung dengan pihak keselamatan, mereka mengesahkan bahawa ketiga-tiga orang yang tidak dikenali itu ialah pihak Unit Tugas Khas (UTK) dan laporan polis hanya dibuat sekiranya UTK enggan memulangkan semula barang-barang yang dirampas.

Kemudian mereka telah pergi ke Jabatan Keselamatan tetapi pihak UTK tidak mahu melayan aduan mereka. Akhirnya, pihak UTK mengeluarkan satu surat mengesahkan rampasan terhadap barang-barang milik Yee Yang.

Sementara itu, bilik Pengerusi BMB, Mohd Taufiq Mahmud juga telah dijadikan mangsa oleh Pengetua dan Pegawai HEP pada 13 September sehinggakan motosikal beliau telah dikunci pada keesokkan harinya.

Selain itu, risalah tersebut juga mendakwa terdapat juga insiden yang membabitkan motosikal mahasiswa yang disabotaj serta diletakkan notis ugutan supaya tidak terlibat dalam PRK.
